As for stuff here - self promotion for financial gain is not allowed by way of using our platform. Now if you wanted post a little tutorial for information to help ppl go for it! It is when someone gets into trying to sell their selves that we have some issues. We have a new update coming soon that gives us a few more options on the forum. Some of these things will help bring new content to golfers and maybe there is a way to feed in some lesson type material. Take a look at the broomstick piece Mission man did and maybe it will give you some further ideas and allow you to write a piece that could potentially be published. Thanks. I did post my Step by Step guide to putt cross handed here on a forum, I think it is lost tho, I haven't had any feedback in about 3 or 4 weeks. It is in Member Community General Q&A I think. I have a hard navigating around the site. My latest idea, it seems I like pink color ball around and on the green. I think only 1 brand, a barely known brand Saintnine, makes a pink urethane, so I am going to pester Titleist and Snell to make one. Pink does not have to mean a surlyn/ionomer cover type ball. Yes I only offer it as my own summary after a lot of trial and error and learning. To anybody who might be interested or is trying it. No, I don't have stats because I don't yet play enough rounds, or do any statistically valid testing. And I wouldn't take time to play a bunch of rounds using a different method. And I am obviously not yet motivated to work for money. I am enjoying my new retirement too much. Thanks for finding it on the MGS site. I really used to be a computer whiz. On Lotus 1-2-3. JAYER38
I wouldn't mind seeing more iron testing from DTC brands such as like Sub70, Maltby, Forward Golf, etc. Something that would almost test a fitting system not just a product to prove what they have to say. They aren't really member tests from what we have found. The engagement isn't there and it is tough for members to do a full term review on them. You wear an item, wash it and wear it again and can probably write a full review on it. What more is there to really do or say? This also goes to the core where we are going to be adapting some opportunities and make them just make more sense. Siamese Moose
I'm not sure where to put a request for an article for the main site, but this seems as good a place as any: Prescription glasses for golf. I paid top dollar (>$500) for a golf specific prescription pair, but it's from a company (SportRX) that I know is world class in their grinding technology. There are much cheaper options out there, but I'm worried the key word here is "cheap". Many of the frame companies offer prescription if you buy direct, but the prices vary widely, and the reviews are always glowing. Unfortunately, the one case I know of a friend bought from Oakley's site, and was greatly disappointed in the prescription accuracy.
