What Brands/Products Do You Want To See for Member Testing 2024?

How important are comparisons to you all when seeing member tests?

I know I’m late on this but my take is there is no simple answer to this. Unfortunately, we all see the game in a different view (this is also the beauty of it) so while comparing products during test everything will be subjective. With that being said, the testing we do in my eyes, are also subjective because my swing isn’t like @Rob Person or @GolfSpy_APH so the products will perform different for me. This is where the problem lies though for me, while I understand this part of testing, it is also the part that makes me want to compare the products to each other to find the one that fits me or what I’m looking for. So in short, I think it depends on what the aim of testing is and if it’s based off the OEMs statements or which product works best for what demographic? Whew… sorry for that.. hope that made sense.

either way I’m just thankful for the opportunity to find out more about products I would have never heard of or products that I’m interested in but don’t see in my neck of the woods. Love all that is done on this forum!

This might be too obvious an answer but all the new hotness (as the kids would say)

It seems like every year something new comes out and enters the ring.  Thats what I’m most curious about.

I want to see how good these Olson putters are.

I want to see what the KRANK driver is all about. (I believe this is already being tested)

Secondary I am always curious about all those companies who spend money on targeted ads. Example  ( bombtech, lucky, pyramid)

After Bryson's performance today at the Masters.. KRANK is about to be looked at heavily in the market. I heard that this was the first time KRANK has ever been played in the Masters.

I don’t know if you’ve tested this company yet, but I have a putter from the Detroit Putter Company.  I am highly impressed with it performance and look of these putters.   First time out the year with my son down in Florida I sank the first two putts both which were over 10 ft.   Fell

in love.  lol!!!!

As discussed on the call today, Wilson gets my vote. Specifically the Staff MB, CB and Forged irons, but anything and everything else in the bag. Their new Staff model putters look nice (and are closer to the premium price bracket) and their drivers get good reviews.

Golf training aids, anything from GolfForever, Speed Sticks, Mirror putting aids, Hackmotion, Tour Striker etc… Training aids are so hit and miss and there are so many that just don’t work, it’d be good to get wide unbiased reviews on them.

We have had a few and Hackmotion was done last year so be sure to check those reviews out.

Some of those are smaller like mirrors which are better served as member unofficial reviews vs official member reviews.

also fwiw I play XXIO irons and my 7i swing speed is between 85 and 90; the idea you need to be a slow swing player for their clubs isn't true.

they have a proprietary set of counterbalanced irons and I picked them up on a whim and have really really enjoyed them. I'd love to see a group test these CB irons and see how it goes.

After Bryson's performance yesterday, you might as well add his 3D printed Avoda one-length iron set to the list of desired member testing opportunities. @Josh Parker shared the article below on the Master's thread.

I have to sincerely applaud and congratulate Jamie and the Forum staff for the superb job you have done.  You didn't just hit a homerun, you hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth this year with all the wonderful testing opportunities.  That doesn't come by chance.  It comes from a lot of planning, hard work, diligence, follow up and vastly increased social media exposure.  What I really liked is how you've increased your reach by not only featuring the major companies, but also a lot of little ones as well as unique products.  So guys, stand up take a bow.  Very well deserved and thank you.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like somebody 30+ years ago tried to make irons with some curve on the face to use the gear effect. This is definitely an interesting concept. When I watched that YouTube video a couple of weeks ago of Bryson and Paige Spiranac playing a scramble trying to break 50 from the red tees, he was talking about intentionally hitting it on the toe with the driver when he wanted a big draw. Sounds like he could do the same with these irons.

I would love to see a few people review and test out the 2024 Taylor Made BRNR Mini Driver. Id like to hear if people find the shorter shaft and smaller head size to be more accurate in finding the center of the fairway. Then ultimately if they would put it in there bag and which club it is going to replace.

It will be cool to see those irons tested! Whether to combo length or the single length.

Also curious to see how were the Bettinardi Irons set performs.
