Before the Allan, I averaged 3.9 3-putts per round. In the two rounds that I've used it, I had one round with ZERO 3-putts, and one round with 3 3-putts. 1.5 3-putts per round is much better than before! I keep saying "more testing is required". Two rounds is a small sample size. Yes, I feel like distance control with the Allan is better than with my previous putter. My last round had multiple putts of over 40 feet that ended up 3 feet or less from the hole. PXG nailed the aesthetics of this putter. One of my favorite aspects is that they didn’t go as fine with the milling tool head across components as they could have. This leaves some of the milling path pattern across most of the head. This could be intentional for looks, or cost saving measure since finer milling/finishing would take more time. Regardless of why they chose that path, it looks great to my eye. When I get home I’ll get some close up pictures that show some of the milling I’m talking about. I have to say, I found it a little odd at first from an alignment standpoint, but after a couple minutes I started to get more comfortable. I LOVE the feel of it, and definitely found it to be point-and-shoot. The rub: this putter is popular. I also ordered a Black Ops 7 wood, and it looks like I'll have it in a week. The Allan? 3 cruel weeks. I was going to post some stats from my 2 rounds planned for the weekend, one Saturday and one Sunday, but I had to leave town unexpectedly. Hope to get at least one round in this weekend. When I got home late last night, I went down to the sim to comfort my clubs, who were obviously missing me. I did some putting practice since the fam was asleep. I've only had 2 other putters, an old Wilson, an Odyssey White Hot OG 7, and now the Allan. The Allan is such a different feel and is absolutely the putter I am playing for the foreseeable future.
