MLB Thread

With what I’m seeing, we need a MLB thread.  We have college football, NFL, and College hoops covered… quite a few MLB fans.

Me personally, I grew up a legacy Tigers fan.  Although, in my travels I’ve really just been a baseball fan in general.  If the Tigers are in the hunt I’ll root for them, but other than that just show me some good plays.

I actually think it would be pretty cool to see a Yankees vs. Mets WS.

I am a Rays season member.  We are a baseball first household.  I played in High School and college, my son in High School and could have played in college but did the Navy thing instead - great career move.  I'm sure you've all seen lots of pictures of my wife, daughter and I at different ballparks - our summer vacation always swirls around baseball.

I'm a Rays fan, my wife a Yankees fan (I converted BTW) and daughter, Brewers/Rays.

Driver: Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  R flex   - 44.25

Fairways:  Ping G410 5, 7, 9 wood  Alta CB red 65 R flex

Hybrid:  Ping G410  26 degree  Alta CB Red 70 R flex

Irons: Ping G430  7-PW, 45, 50 Alta CB black 65 soft R flex

Wedges:  Ping 195 S54, E58

Wedges and irons are - 1/2” and one degree flat

Putter: Sacks Parente Duke 32.5”

Ball: Titleist Pro VI or Callaway Chrome Soft X ls

While not at the same time I was fit for every club in my bag as well as the Pro VI ball. I use the chrome soft x ls on my league course.  It has much softer softer greens than the club that I belong to.

I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.

Baseball has broken my heart, Rev.

A 162 game season that wins nothing but seeding in an unnecessary post season tournament.
[May as well be hockey.]

Thirty teams when thirty teams worth of major league quality players have never walked the earth at the same time.

Using the venerable terms American League and National League when NEITHER of those organizations
is an actual autonomous entity anymore. They completely disbanded in 2000.

Stupid special occasion uniforms to sell merch.

Ads on the uniforms.

Zombie runners in extra innings.

Pizza box size bases.

$140 for a ticket that cost me four bucks when I was a kid.
[And it's the same seat proportioned for 1912 size asses.]

More young kids are playing soccer than Little League.

I could go on and on.

I was a loyal Red Sox in the 1950s.
I've shaken Ted Williams' hand...more than once.
I've been to Fenway Park literally hundreds of times.

Now I can't even watch anymore.

Talk about becoming a "Get off my lawn" Boomer!
