Should WGC events have full FedEx points?

Is it fair that the top 62 players in the world get the advantage of FedEx point in a limited field event.

If everybody had the same chance to earn their way into this does it make sense to continue to clutter up the field with people who have already failed to measure up ?

If it was a blind draw to see who gets to play from everyone on tour then I see your point.

 

But players had to earn their way into the tourney, so getting rewarded for that honor seems legit to me.

One more for you...does that mean there shouldn't be points awarded in The Masters either? You have to earn your way into that tourney as well.
