Well I can say for sure the Odin x1 ball is as good as my tp5x ball I’m playing x1 more now it’s going n my bag for sure I hit a 293 yrs drive x1 hit nice off the face of my irons n putts nice love it

I know the balls sound like they are pretty comparable to the higher end balls! With the cheeper price and the money back along with the brand growing and bigger ideas on the horizon! What are the thoughts on the brand itself?

I think the brand is very good Odin family done a good job on there brand to just as good as vice prov1 tpx5 n there very creative in the colors on the box I think it will sell very good I’m impressed

Oh 1 more thing I thought of the big letters Odin I would make them smaller on the ball other than that it’s good

I think the brand is fresh, different than the usual stuff we are used to seeing. The box with the paint splatters is eye catching. Your price point and money back offer is a great way to lure people in. Other items on your website are catchy and comparable in price to other items you might look for. 
 

One thing I’ve seen from other companies in the past, they’ve offered a free sleeve of balls for whatever reason. I’ve done ball fittings online and even got a two ball pack to try them out. 
 

You guys know where you’re going with it all. The balls hold up. Breaking the habits of us golfers is the tough part but your guys enthusiasm for your product and these reviews should be a good start.

I wish it was my brand! I’m just an ambassador! But I love what they stand for and glad they are getting some love!

Hold the ball a little further from you the letters get smaller

Hello my fellow golf spies!  Hope Christmas went well for you all.  Me and the family travelled to my home state of SC for the holidays.  Got here Saturday, Sunday was Christmas Eve, then Christmas and yesterday it rained all day.  Got a total of just around 1.5" of rain.  Today my dad and I made it out to play.  Weather was mid 60's.  It was cloudy all day, looked like it could rain.  Windy too, not too bad though.  Anyway, the course was wet as expected.  The ODIN performed as I would expect it to.  Greens were hard to see where the ball landed on them, but I did have some backspin on a few approach shots into some of the greens.  Even with all the rain, the greens were still pretty firm.  

 

I did notice that the ODIN does seem to hold the dirt blemishes on it better than what I am used to.  The other balls would wipe off the blemish with just my thumb.  The ODIN would need a towel.  This is not a bad thing, but it is something I noticed and reported in an earlier update.  

The ODIN reacted comparable to the other balls.  Approach shots, wind effects, spin, feel off the putter, etc.  The ODIN feels and sounds to me more like a Srixon.  On pitch shots and half wedges the ball would bounce and then lightly release.  Which is what the other balls did on these shots too, so comparable.  

One particular drive, I caught a cart path, unbeknownst to me as it was a dogleg right and I caught a leaf as the ball took off.  I noticed the blemish on the green.  

I also notice a blemish on the same ball, I believe it came from a sand shot I hit earlier in the round.  

After the round I took the blemished ball and dissected it for all of you to see.  I haven't ever cut any other ball apart before but thought for testing purposes it might be good to show everyone.

Overall, the ball performs comparably to other high-end balls that I have played.  I did hit one tee shot on the last hole 8 yards further with the ODIN than the other ball I was playing.  I cannot say for 100% fact that is going to be every time, but it happened that time.  The ODIN is a good ball, performed as expected for me.  I could do all the things I wanted to with it.  The feel of it is a little different than what I am used to, but it wasn't that noticeable of a difference.  I am hoping to play again tomorrow, so should have some more info for you then.  Is there anything you would like me to test or try out?

Didn’t get to play today. Woke up with a head cold and sore throat so battling that. I hope to at least get out and hit some wedge shots over the next few days before traveling back home.

Sneaking out before the rains with ODIN and I would say it’s 9#% official there will be an eviction in my golf bag() quite possibly in the spherical ammunition department……

starting any day like this I can’t ever be mad…

if I could get my golf game to the level of non-disappointment that the ODIN X1 has been providing I would be so happy.  Round 8 and no complaints,  this ball is holding up great even after some cartpath love.

Ball on the left is marked up after some tree branch on the previous hole, and a big drive up the left of the fairway with 2 cartpath bounces (thank you cartpath) home in 2 on the longest par 5 here…

150 yard tee shot smooth 9, check and release 5 feet.  That’ll do!!!!

more golf to come this weekend, almost certainly in rain gear ️️️

Off topic but check out Rukket for a really good net. We put multiple holes in it after 6 months but that’s partially on me leaving it outside for weeks on end and my kid hitting what had to be over 100 shots a day 5-6x per week from February -June. I’m looking into a new net for 2024 but plan on keeping the frame. Just need a new net.

@Jordan ODIN Golf do you guys have anything in the works that would be comparable to a ProV1x or Maxfli Tour X type ball? I know the X1 is comparable to the ProV1, so just was curious on if there is anything you're able to share on that front if anything is in the works?

I typically play the "x" version of most balls as I prefer the slightly firmer feel and higher greenside spin that normally goes along with them. 

I do absolutely LOVE the feel of the X1 to this point, though, FWIW.

Hey @Jnoble89 - hope you're having a great week over there! Thanks again for all the great feedback. We did have plans for a 4pc urethane ball (and also an in-between softer 3pc to nestle in the X and X1 balls), but decided to park those and focus on the X1 (we're still a small team, so had to prioritize our roadmap a bit more rigorously). As for a Prov1x equivalent, not at the moment, but it's something we can definitely take a look at. Thanks again and enjoy the weekend with the fam!

Let me share my thoughts on this thread, where they are appropriate.  First of all, these balls are really seeming to stack up very well. Very impressive and detailed feedback so far.

But let me add that the most impressive part has been the direct, and almost immediate, constant interaction between Odin and this community during the test!

So I went out this afternoon after driving back from Arkansas and that cold weather up there to do on last chipping and pitching with the Odin X1

Today I wanted to do a deeper dive into the comparison of the ProV1 and the Odin X1 - I wanted to see more of the closer shots (5/10/20 yds) to see if one ball had a distinct edge (Also to note I was using brand new ProV1's compared to the 400+ shots withe X1's)
I was using my SM9 58/12 D and a Jaws 58/12 W - wanted to test grinds with the balls as well 

As per usual the X1 performed really well again. They are able to spin pretty much on command and I am able to pitch it with little spin and let it run out. The ball performs as it should for me - I am unable to find anything in this test that would be a big no.

I have 2 more rounds of golf and then I will be doing a final review and putting everything together

I can honestly say that based on all the feedback so far, I intend to buy a dozen of the X1 and compare head to head with the Z Star . Looking forward to see how they play this spring.

Hey u want regret buying a dozen of x1balls I played the x star didn’t get the distance out it them n the spin but this Odin x1 it’s a 3 piece ball n u will be pleased with it

I like that they have 20% cashback rewards on future purchases. Pretty much all golf and regular companies should have programs like that. I think it would really reinforce brand loyalty if they like a product.
