buckpillar
MGS has given me and all other members the opportunity Grow our games, by providing a platform for so many topics from game improvement, everyday conversations and quality feedback not just from testing products but the willingness to provide honest truthful information about anything and everything. One of the things I like the best is the ability to BS with others about golf and most of all the camaraderie that is developed with the interactions with ALL members. Thank you MyGolfSpy - You Rock!! I said it before .. so I'll say it again -- I'm glad I stumble across MGS - It was a definitely a GREAT DAY OF GOLF, that's only gotten better every time I log on to see what's going on in the MGS Nation!! Ryan Luke
Hello All! I definitely feel more educated on golf products than ever before due to this forum/MGS. I always just went and played and never looked at anything until I actually needed something. Lot's of great people and reviews here so I'm glad that I found MGS and have been able to be part of it! Kevin Vest
It's helped me tremendously cause they've taken the BS Marketing out of the Club manufacturing companies and put their Claims to the test. It has def helped in my club and ball buying decisions. I appreciate their straight forward honesty. StrokerAce
the equipment reviews are what bring us here but the camaraderie is what keeps us here. being newer to golf when I first joined I got some great advice on all sorts of things - swing tips, balls, shoes, etc it's always fun knowing there's a dependable corner of the internet to chat with real people about our common interests where everyone is good natured and keeps the conversation light and refreshing. I think the biggest thing though, is it made me want to learn about golf, not just play golf. everything besides playing the game - club design, technique, swing methods, shafts, heads, cb/mb, gi/sgi/players, 3 piece/4 piece, surlyn/ionomer, loft, lie angle, COG... I could go on and on but I've learned so much about the game besides just playing it and that has made me a much more educated consumer. Cheers! BobBC78
The reviews on both the main site and the forum have been a big influence on me. In fact for several years before joining the forum (about this time last year) I relied on reviews on the main site for information on equipment that I was considering and have found both official and member reviews in the forum tremendously helpful. Additionally, I'm enjoying the "what did you practice today" thread, as it keeps me doing something for my game nearly every day and there is some great give and take about what and how to practice. jbern
I was trying to think about this and I then tried to think about what parts of my game MGS hasn’t influenced and I just couldn’t come up with anything. It’s given me a place to discuss goals (short and long term), bucket lists, mental game, what I’m working on, brands I’ve never heard of, and of course equipment! Tom the Golf Nut
I'll try to keep this short. Well shorter than usual! I have always been addicted to learning more and sharing all my DIY golf stuff and this was a good place to share. I was fortunate to have tested some player distance irons a couple years ago which got me out of game improvment irons. This change brought me from a 5 handicap down to a 0.5 currently. I have been fortunate to meet and play golf with several of the spies and all are great people that I consider friends. There is a bond we share through this passion called golf. I came to the main site for honest reviews to aid in my purchasing decisions. Then I stumbled on to the Forum section and have been glued here every day for several years now. I enjoy the "average Joe reviews". Watching a professional reviewer on the internet or you tube doesn't mean as much to me. They can hit anything. But watching a fellow spy have a breakthrough with a certain item just seems more rewarding to read about. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE. gingerbeast87
For my MGS has given me exposure to a lot more of the golfing world than I previously realised was out there. I've seen brands I have never heard of and even been picked for a couple of product tests. The hackmotion test helped my long game and approach shots a fair bit. From just a random click on an internet link, who would have thought I would have been around for a couple of years. I think the great community and excellent moderators have made this site one that uplifts and encourages anyone who joins it.
