I love the ball! Winning is the most fun, but still had a great time! I do love the “LetsFcancer” OnCore did for me. I love the small companies but there have been too many inconsistencies with OnCore lately. I can’t afford to shell out 40$ per dozen if every ball doesn’t perform the same. The Callaway CT/X and ProV1/X and - are all very consistent. I am gonna start testing the remaining OnCore I have when I get some epsom salt and time. Erin B
Ok, OnCore had three balls that weighed 46g and three that weighed 45g, Titleist left dash had three that weighed 45g and three that weighed 46g, and Callaway CTX had five that weighed 45g and one 46g. This is interesting. Josh Parker, William P, Rob Person and 3 others 5 1 Quote I could play golf every day and learn something new each time. Preeway
I’ve never seen much of a discrepancy when I’ve weighed golf balls. That includes Kirklands. Granted, I’m using a $30 scale and my grams only go out to the nearest 1/10th place but you’d think I’d see something like the ball lab tests do. Maybe I need to buy one of the fancy scales? rkj427
Good evening Spies on a cool Sunday evening here. @Erin B great showing, and glad that you had a great time, even if the results were not exactly what you were hoping for. Best of luck with your ball testing too, although I try to utilize the MGS test results before attempting to make a ball change for myself. No golf today, back still sore, and I watched the Rocket Mortgage tournament. Was hoping that Aaron Rai would put together another fine round, but he seemed to miss more fairways and putts today than he did all week. Steadiest player near the top of the leaderboard was Cam Davis, and even though he had some putts roll over edges, he did enough good things to pull out the win. Was actually frustrating to watch Cameron Young today. He seemed to get frustrated and down on himself and his putting horrible for a tour level player. I also like MGS ball tests, and I was fortunate to test the Callaway CT/X balls. I never thought about it that much until today. I was striking the ball so well today that it made me start thinking about it, especially right after switching from the first OnCore to the other one. Same sleeve and number ball too. Then to switch back and get the results prior to the switch made me start really thinking about it. I was having consistency problems earlier in the year and last season with OnCore but I wanted to play the cancer awareness ball this weekend for my spousal unit. Anyway, I still had a great time!!! Popular Post Rob Person
Evening spies! 100+ notifications, and sorry if I don't get to most of them. Been a hard day here. Had some bad storms roll in overnight and a tree took out my water pressure tank. Not sure when it happened but the well pump ran continuously for at least 5 hours before the motor seized. Also had a lake behind the storage area Needless to say it was a costly day, (approximately $1400) and 112⁰ index didn't help. I've consumed minimum 3 gallons of water. Noone I called was able to assist me either. I'm probably 3/4 done with getting it back together.... by myself. The tank and pump were 20+ years old. Here's some sympathy pictures. Mapping out before I head to the home depot. new tank installed this is what 122 feet of pipe and a seized pump look like. All that is left for tomorrow is to wire the new pump, water tight seal the connections, drop the pump down, prime the unit, reconnect it to the system, pressurize the lines, and fingers crossed I have water! Also had to buy 250' of garden hose to tie into another system, thanks to the generosity of my elderly back neighbor, so lady boss and I can shower and have water. If you lived here or I there I’d happily give you a hand. We also had a terrible storm last night. Was surprised we didn’t have a touchdown. Photos from a friend from last night. Dam, seems like when it rains it pours, nice plumbing work.my freezer is in limbo.. I messed with the timer and seems that it started to cool, giving it a day or so to see. buckpillar
Morning and night, just catching my second wind at work, not much going on across the country tonight which is a blessing for a change. Practiced some putting before I left for work made 31 / 35 from 8 ft not to bad, need more practice at the course and on the backyard green. I hope you all have a great day and play your best. Rob Person
While I know it is not evening time, I thought I would just give everyone an update. Started the wiring and re-assembly this morning and by 10am was done. Several tests were done as a check and balance prior to tying up the connection to the tank. The pump is back in its 120' + resting place and pumping like it should! Called the lady boss and gave her the good news, she was very happy from what I could tell over the phone. Then she proceeded to give me a reminder of the other honey-do list items... I nodded in agreement silently, then went and played 9 holes! jbern, Northern Monkey, rkj427 and 3 others 1 1 4 Quote WITB- Driver -Titleist 910D, 3w- Titleist 910F, 5hy/7hy- Titleist 910H, 6-PW - Stix , 52⁰, 56⁰, 60⁰ - Stix , Putter- AI-ONE DB / Lombardi Tour 34 custom Just an old newbie golfer, trying to learn and improve 1 club at a time.
