Willie T
I would like to add Tommy Armour (although Dick's has them as a house brand and with the reintroduction of the 845 irons I thought they would be a flagship again a Dick's./Golf Galaxy). Seems they are being quickly being relegated to "super discount we're not making them anymore" pricing. My love the the TA 845s is directly related to the fact I still own my first set of "real" irons that I bought - the 845s Silver Scot patent pending (purchased in '17). However as others have noted I have have some Northwestern, Lynx, MacGregor irons; Toney Penna, Northwestern non-laminated persimmon woods and plasiticized Spalding woods. Balls - I've got a couple dozen of balata balls: Spalding, PGA, Acushnet (Titleist's parent company). Rob Person 1 Quote WITB? Later they were bought out by Sumimoto. (Who also own Cleveland and Srixon, and a bunch of other sports companies) The clubset I own, (and currently play) are over 25 years old. They are Foremost 551 series (and I believe the last dunlop club sets produced) Dunlop golf has a long history too. I had a set of Dunlop irons many year ago. I didn't really like them, so I got rid of them after two years for a set if Callaways. The best part of my Dunlop purchase was that the salesman talked me out of trading in my Callaway s2h2 irons, and I still have them to this day. They're my all-time favorite clubs I've ever owned. I also tested a dozen Dunlop golf balls for the old PGAT Partners Club. I really liked that ball. It was long, and I shot mid 70s round, which is really good for me, the first time out. However, it was one dozen and done, as I don't ever remember seeing them in a store. Rob Person 1 Quote AKA Dark Horse State of my game: "Breaking 85" is the new "Breaking 80".
