MDGolfHacker
My 2nd hobby is cars. Mostly for looks but, the SRT Caliber was pushing about 350 HP out of the little 4 cyl turbo. I miss this car a lot!!! 58 years old and the wife still waiting for me to grow up and quit playing with toys...lol! Those cars look awesome!! I used to be into cars as well (not to your level though), but had to get rid of my 93 Honda Prelude 4WS when the kids came along. For now it's Minivan Dad for me. Down the road, I'm thinking of picking up a 991 or 997 series Porsche to work on and play with after the kids finish college. MDGolfHacker RexS 1 Quote What's In This Lefty's Bag? ddryan
Nice! My son is now just getting into ice hockey.. MDGolfHacker MDGH, not sure where you are in MD, but if you are anywhere near Odenton, there is a great program at Piney Orchard Ice Rink- Nelson Hockey Association- run by Nelson Burton, former NHLer with the Capitals. Nelson runs a great program, running from "Give It A Shot" which is for beginners, with loaner equipment and even sleds if you don't know how to skate, all the way thru adult pickup scrimmages twice a week. Take a look at www.nelsonhockey.org In the Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington, DC and NoVa area there are some great hockey leagues for all ages and skill levels, up to and including elite travelling teams associated with farm teams for professional teams... I play with Nelson's crew several times a month, and play for a team in Laurel, as well as fill in as a sub goalie periodically... PM me if you have any questions- Nelson is a "salt of the earth" kind of guy and has a very good outlook on the development of younger players- "make sure they have fun" which is really a great approach - Quote What's in the bag? I see Nelson all the time when my son goes there to participate in his beginning ice hockey program. Real great guy as you said. His home town recently honored his hockey achievements and I only found out when he didn't show up for the program one day. I only live about 5 minutes from that ice rink and spend pretty much my entire Saturday morning and early afternoon since my daughter figure skates too. Let me know when you come down this way and maybe we can catch drinks at the green turtle after your games. MDGolfHacker ddryan and STUDque 2 Quote What's In This Lefty's Bag? MDGolfHacker I go skating about 3 times a year. In fact, I went yesterday. It didn't go that well. I'm a wall-hugger. (Okay, not quite, but there are a lot of people in this world better than me.) I think I should take lessons... The Last time I fell, I landed on my coccyx and that was all she wrote. Haven't been on any type of skates, hover board, etc since (going on 13 years now).
