My Arm! My Arm!

"Well, I guess it could be broken."

Fortunately, it's not. On #12 today a ball came from out of nowhere and hit my arm. (See my post under "What Makes A Great Golf Course" thread.)

All I could think about was: "why did this have to happen right before I go on a 10 day golf vacation?" Of course I kept playing and shot -1 in to the clubhouse!

This pic was taken after the round. If I look close I can still see the Nike swoosh!

Thanks!  Headed to Phoenix tomorrow; got tee times lined up on Thu and Fri.  Will wing it after that; looking to see who is open since many courses are overseeding.

Wow glad it's not broken! Heavy ice and tons of Advil, you'll survive the vacation ;)

Thanks!   I kept playing because it didn't hurt to swing.  Tensing the arm muscles hurt a little though.  We had ice (and hydrocodone) with us so got ice on it right away in-between shots.  I actually think that it helped a lot to keep moving it.  The swelling is down today, but it it is turning black and blue.

Sounds like fun. Hope the vacation goes well.

I played today close to home, most courses out here are overseeding so it's tough to find one that isn't clogged or isn't in bad shape.

Also as a heads up, gets dark here early around 630 PM. Afternoon rounds are not the easiest to pull off.

Yeah, I hate it getting dark earlier. I think I have played my last 9 holes after work. We can play here until about 7:15 now. My two tee times this week in Phoenix are at 9 and 10am.

I also noticed that you are going to get remnants of of a hurricane coming through Baja again the next couple of days. I live in the desert; I don't like playing in the rain. Wind is ok, rain not so much. I did play Bandon Dunes once where it rained right up to our tee time, then the sun came out. Beautiful!
