  1. First full round today since tweaking my knee. Went into it with limited goals. Mainly not to rehurt myself. Misson accomplished!
Posted 89 today and played well for the most part. 3 bad holes really hurt but it was great to be back out and not playing in rain or mud for once. It was sunny and mid 80s today.
Our league major is in 3 weeks so I gotta get back ready for it.

  2. Shot a 42/44:86 with one birdie today. Gamed my Wilson Triton Driver, Cobra F8 set to 4W, Cobra F8 3H, Hogan PTx Irons 4-LW & Ping Ketsch putter. Also gamed one of my Kentucky bags as i5 was UK v Tenn basketball today. Unfortunately Tennessee prevailed.

  3. First official round of the year for our league and my first round in while.
Posted a 88 under cold winter conditions. It was good to be back out on the course.
Highlight was the opening hole. Par 5 that I birdied.
Winter will be back tomorrow. Can't wait for the temp to warm up stop raining every other day lol

  4. Had our Ryder cup match called the Hackers Cup yesterday. A 27 hole event of 3 different formats. Our league, the GolfNuts vs the local Golfweek league. They smoked us last year when we played straight up. This year we used handicaps.

This year's results we won 13-11. All the matches were tight. Won my match on the last hole.

Hard to put a event together were all 24 guys don't gripe but I think I was successful yesterday hahaha [emoji23]

Season is over and now time to relax and just play.

Trip to Hot Springs village next weekend. Can't wait. Love those courses. Will try and share pics

  5. Guys today was our day 2 of our club championship.

Team event but Sunday is combined team and singles.

Pouring rain and as we ate at The Waffle House this morning hoping the lightening would stay away, called the course to see if we had a green light and we did so we took off to the course.

Range was closed so we stood around and bs'd till they let us go.

Rained off and on and I wasn't paying attention to my score just the team score.

I was having a good driver and putter day for sure.

After we walked off 18 the guys were in the clubhouse and said great round, way to go.

After looking at the individual score and saw I shot 79. -10 under net.

The day was a blur and only remember a few shots.

    Is that weird?

So my team lost the team championship but I walked away with the club championship!

Tazz the 2018 GNA Club Champion is overshadowed by this guy Tiger lol.

Time for a beer and rest. Season ended on a great note.

  6. Finally beginning to accept the fact that I'll never get the hang of hitting a draw on command if not on the range lol.

As the saying goes, dance with the one that brung ya. And a fade is how she is dressed up.

So yesterday I played it and carded an 85 but it was the first round in months that I wasn't fighting the swing and it all felt comfortable.

Single digits index is to far too reach this year now but next year it is on! And it'll happen with the gentle fade.

  7. Almost bailed on my playing partner today and I almost wish I had. Shot 90 today with two 3-putts, and 3 triple bogeys on the card. I was very tired after working last night and my back hasn't been right for a couple days. I had hopes of at least playing to my average after a birdie on the first hole, but that expectation quickly dissipated. Oh well. Win some lose some. Probably best for my handicap anyway. :)

Gotta be amused when you post a score and the GHIN app ask you if you're sure lol

  8. Day 2 of a 2man shamble today at a little cc in the middle of nowhere. We played mediocre and shot 67. -5 through 9 then finished -5 bc of 3 bogies on the back.

One of which is why I'm posting. I had a 4 foot par putt that fell in the hole, hit the plastic edge of the cup and popped out. It's the second time I've ever seen this happen. Have any any of yall ever had this happen? I can't help but feel cheated in a way.

So the edge of the cup kept it out?

I've seen it before when someone jams the pin in and the next person to remove the flag actually pulls the cup out as well because it was stuck in the cup.

That'll cause the cup lip to no longer be flush or just below the ground.

Sucks and all you can do is rant and try to fix the cup.

  9. The Father's day round was a lil iffy. Tee box and putting was great. Even shots from the rough was good. My downfall were the middle of the fairway shots. Skulled probably 7 perfect fairway lies. Killed my front 9. No idea why I kept popping up but I did lol.

Front side 51 and 40 on the back. The driver and putter saved me yesterday. Putting it behind me to get ready for our next league round.

  10. Yesterday's round was not worth writing home about in the least.

The high temps and high humidity kicked me square in the marbles. 1 birdie and 1 par were the only highlights of 18 holes of golf.

Just one of those days where nothing felt right. My routine stayed the same from arrival up to the first tee. Only thing I did good was drive the golf cart lol.

Putting this one in the past and moving on. The pros come to town next week so I'll be busy hobknobbing 🤞

  11. League trip to The Shoals (RTJ)

No rain! Perfect weather and great friends. They were getting ready to host the D2 championship this week so the course was in stellar shape. Found a few great local spots to eat and that's always fun. Boy I slept good Sunday night and oh how it caught up to me Monday morning lol.

Advil and mountain dew got me thru the day!

Can't wait for our fall trip to Hot Springs Arkansas. Great lil golf spot if you've never been.

Here's a few of us that made the trip.

  12. I've never played at night for score only fun. It isn't often mind you. I think night golf is ranked right next to top golf. It's fun but you probably won't get much from it imo. Add lights to courses in the south and that's an open invite to the mosquitos and that ain't cool lol
