No shipping notification for me as of yet. 😭

I will say, these Edels have big shoes to fill. My Cobra 58 degree wedge has become my favorite club in the bag as of late. I'm getting much better at pitching the ball and have setup some awesome birdies and huge par saves. I also have recently been using a toe down putting type stroke for chips from just off the green and while I haven't holed one yet, I've had several finish within 18 inches. Last week I saved par from a greenside bunker after hitting a beautiful 58 degree wedge from the sand. I carried the ball all the way across the green, landed it softly and stopped the ball within five feet.

It's almost like they know they are going to be benched soon!

So your 58 is working well for all shots around the green so it will be a good comparison when the Edel comes in.

Whatre the biggest pluses you've found so far?

Well shortly after bragging about the small pistol neck stock grip, I decided to put a Superstroke 3.0 Flatso grip on. Wow for me, it helped tremendously with distance control.  I feel like the head is more easily controlled with the Flatso grip.  It was worth the $30.00 buck investment and it's cool how a grip can enhance control of a golf club. The other thing that I have grown to love is the slant neck.  It helps me feel behind the ball and allows for a smooth stroke. Of course the white hot insert works very well for me.  It brings back fond memories of why I enjoyed that insert back in the day.

  2. I've got my 2nd round in with the #7 OG and I'm pleasantly surprised. The first thing I was considering was changing the grip to a SuperStroke 3.0 however I'm finding the stock grip feels pretty darn good. I love the insert and for me distance control is much better than a milled face.

Definitely will be interested to see what you think with the steel shaft. I definitely have noticed a more stable face through contact with the stroke lab vs. the steel on my spider mini.

Yea I rolled the stroke lab version in Dicks and it was sweeter than cannon ball melon in July.

That sounds like a deal that was too good to pass up, the #7 is a great looking putter. It'll be interesting to see if it performs well enough to knock the Evnroll out of your bag.

I'll end up paying $32.00 after trades so no biggy if the #7 blows a tire.

Left for an Atlanta United soccer game, and of course 10 minutes after I leave, my #7 is delivered by UPS. Now that I’m home I’m gawking at the look and working some distance control on my perfect practice putting mat.

I’m leaving tomorrow for Scottsdale for a bachelor party. We play 1 round Friday and should be a pretty raucous time, so I’m going trial by fire and leaving the gamer in Atlanta and taking this with me for the weekend.

It appears in the pic that your #7 is not a slant neck?
