I have been contemplating the 2 wedge (3 if you include PW). Would allow me to game a 2 iron without sacrificing the 7 wood or 4 iron for CC5

    I switched a few years ago to a 52 and 58 from 52, 56, 60.  I don’t particularly like the shape of the 58, I would bend a 56 weak one.

it really simplifies things.  The 56 and 60 pretty much went the same distances.  I can open the 52 up and hit a flop if needed.

I also did it for the top end.  3 wood, 2 hybrid, and 3 iron... but it is time to replace the 3 iron with some sort of hollow head driving iron style.  I’ve never been great with woods, so I’m more comfortable with the iron shape.  If they’d make a 12° driving iron I’d give it a try to replace the 3 wood.  Haha.

edit: I do have a Voke 48° that I plan to work in as a “pitching wedge”... around the green.

Celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary today. I’ve been thinking of how quickly it went by and while we were planning, it was so much emphasis on making it my wife’s special day.

For anyone who hasn’t or is hoping to get married soon I want to say one thing. Weddings are certainly all about the spouse but don’t lose sight of the fact that this is one of the only times, maybe the only, where you’ll be surrounded by your favorite people in the world. It’s special and do whatever you can to soak it all in before your liver soaks up a bottle of champagne 😊

Congrats man!  We will be celebrating 14!!! On June 12th... wow I’m getting old.

And to note: I’ve only seen 4 people from our wedding party of 14 in the last 14 years that isn’t family.

  3. Three weeks of vacation coming up. Late June through early July.

Kids will be at summer camp, just me, my wife, and our youngest.  I’ve convinced them that they can drive the cart while I play golf a few times.  Looking to play Arcadia Bluffs, and the South Course.  If I’m lucky I might finally check off the Hidden River course... and if I’m really lucky, I’ll get to play the Belvedere again with my dad.  And my parents friends are going to hook me up with some passes at their club!  Woo!

21 days... going to try to play at least 7 times.  Have some trout fishing lined up, and a canoe trip too.

Heading to Target in the morning to beat the Pokémon Card Scalpers... nothing irritates me more than grown (you know what) men going and stealing all the stuff that kids want to make a profit... just hits a button that makes me turn red.

on the happy side, the lady gave me some insider info, and I should be able to snag some for the kids.... also, the golf course is in close proximity to Target, which means I won’t be getting much work done tomorrow. 🏌🏼‍♂️

    Too windy.... 😭

  6. I heard his name a few times as a kid, but I’ve always had a touch of the OTT in my swing... Mr. Bruce Litzske and I have a similar move.  Rest well Sir, thanks for proving that an OTT swing can perform at the top of the echelon.

I’ll post up some comparison videos at some point....

My game went to crap when I tried to hit draws full time, grabbing the swing by the horns and going back to my “natural swing”... whatever it may look like.

Sounds like a PX LS 6.5 in your 2 iron should do the trick...

Which is about the exact opposite of a club that would ever need to be in my bag. #wormburnerz

I just need to go see a professional club fitter.

Went to the course today and asked if I could demo something in the driver that can lofted down to 7°... dude asked me why, I said well because I hit moon balls with my current set up.

Not sure if I have a flip or what, but full out swings with anything south of a 8 iron just take off sky high.  My 58° nearly goes up my nostril, but still goes 100 yards.  Everything else launches too high too.

Leasons would probably help a lot too.

  8. Range session today... long irons, trying to work the 3 iron back in, and get rid of the hybrid. Had a few beautiful shots, traveled about 235 in the air and went halfway to the moon.  Might need to add a 2 iron again, and look at an even lower launching shaft than C-Tapers... does that exist?

Had a few really nice drives, and some clean 3 woods off a tee.  I am noticing that if I feel like I take a John Daly swing everything just seems to time out better.  I feel like I’m overswinging, but it works nicely.

I recently bought a set of 32s 3-PW.  I put KBS Tour shafts in them.  They are fairly beaten up with bag chatter but the faces are good, which is the main thing I'm concerned about.  I absolutely love them.  I've even enjoyed hitting the long irons.  My only reservation is one time recently when I was at the range and I must've been getting too steep with my contact because the club felt like it was digging.  Obviously that was user error, but I have seen that as a criticism of them.  Otherwise, I'm extremely happy with them.

I asked Javier Ballesteros what Seve played in his last open.  They were MP-32’s... 👍🏼 Love your username Sir.
