Cam Newton for an injured Jets receiver 🤣  I don't care how good the guy is, that just feels unfair. I currently have the three top-scoring QBs in the league. It's by accident, but it's a pretty good advantage over the opponents. Countered.

haha... well, if this was a superflex league you'd be living large but since you can only start 1 QB having 4 of them actually hurts you more than it helps you.
1 and a backup is fine but 4 ??? the easiest position to stream in all of fantasy is QB.
Cam isn't that much better than Stafford and Crowder is a PPR target hog. they literally have no one else in NY.

    good luck

Alright Stud division, I’ve got Dion Lewis (Freeman may take a bit to get acquainted) and Mike Davis on the trading block.. could go for a WR2/3 with both RBs having potentially good upside

I won’t be a dance partner but love the play. Bid big on waivers then use them as trade bait. Good luck!

Lost McCaffery for “multiple weeks” and Sutton’s our for the season too.  But the fun is trying to find those gems to stay competitive.  Just submitting the same lineup every week would get kind of boring.

Quick question to the commish(s)...when can I actually move a guy to the IR?  The app currently tells me McCaffery’s “Not Eligible”...

I think you need to wait until his status officially changes to Out or IR. I had to sit on Kittle for a few days before I could move him.

  4. Hello darkness my old friend. Another decent week and another 2 losses. Add my name to the pile of folks that wishes they started Conner. 0-4 is gonna be tough to come back from but there’s still hope if @B.Boston did it last year.

I’m gonna push the survivor pool back to start next week since only like 7 people submitted for this week. We’ll consider that a practice run but from here, non picks will just be strikes.

I assume picking Cleveland is frowned upon! Lol

Ha! I actually tried but nay, it's not an option anymore.

Depending on how this week goes, I may bump it back to start week 3. Wouldn't want half the league to take a strike off the bat because they didn't have enough time to know they need to make a pick.

  6. Hey guys, I was poking around the website trying to figure out what's what and came across the Survivor pool. I went ahead and enabled it starting this week but just know this is purely for fun. You'll find the link at the top of your home page to enter your pick.

How it works is each week you pick a team that you KNOW will win this week. Get the pick wrong, and you receive a strike. 3 strikes and yerrrrr out! The catch is that each owner may only pick each NFL team once over the course of the entire season.

The winner will be whichever team Survives the longest this season. The season runs all the way through the Super Bowl. Good luck!

How does this waiver bidding work? I see you get “$100” and highest bidder prolly gets the player but does it reset each week to $100 or is it $100 for the whole season??

$100 budget for the whole season. You can get some money back (or give some away) via trades. It’s a big strategy.

Oh man, nervous heading into MNF double header...hoping I can pull off the double victory this week riding Devante Adams!

I’m in a similar boat. Need Conner and Diontae to combine for about 30. Should be a fun one tonight!

Not a huge deal but just curious. Waivers were to be processed manually on Thursday morning so I was waiting until tonight to make any potential changes but they went a day early. Then I just received an email that my lineup was submitted but I haven't made up my mind who I'm starting yet and it submitted without me telling it to. Can I make changes or did the system just mess up my week 1 lineup?

I went through and submitted lineups for everyone that hasn’t done it yet (dozen or so teams) so we don’t accidentally end up with any zeroes this first week as folks learn how to use the system. Subsequent weeks copy automatically. Your players don’t lock until their respective games start so you’re free to make changes at will until then.

So with this new site, we have to submit a lineup every week.

Oh man, we are going to have a LOT of teams not submitting lineups throughout the season.

It’s set that once you submit your lineup once, it carries to future weeks. The first week is the one we need to watch for.

Guys I had a general fantasy football question.

Since we aren't having a football team at my high school this year, I wanted to find an easy way to keep the kids engaged and thought fantasy might be good. However, running a league with dozens of kids means having a regular draft where you own players is impossible.

I was hoping to do a daily fantasy style league, but where the results carry over weekly. So every week you can make a new team and it would carry on throughout the season. Anybody have any idea a website that runs something like that? There is lots of daily fantasy and lots of dynasty fantasy, but not a combo of both. Thanks for the help!

    Paging @yungkory

Kory has talked about doing this for his friends league. Maybe he can expand on how they make it work.

Also, MFL offers this as an option but they only offer paid leagues. I think it’s like $50 for a more modest sized league. We talked about doing DFL for this league but opted for the traditional style.

  12. In case you missed it, I sent out an invite to everyone in the league to join a Slack workspace for the league. This could help speed up communication throughout the season for trades, smack talk, General troubleshooting, etc. I also think it could really come in handy on draft day to keep everyone on the same page.

It’s 100% optional but could prove to be very useful if you join. Check your emails for an invite from me.

As was mentioned earlier it may be nice to set a lineup of 6 or so before rather then have all 8 eligible so there is a bit more management involved. Always sucks leaving a guy who gets a ton of points on the bench, but that's fantasy!

That was actually our preferred choice too, but Fantrax didn't have that as an option. We went in planning for start 5, take the best 4, rosters of 10. But when we found out best ball assumed everyone was a starter, we dropped the team size down to the 8 we have now. I don't expect them to fix this one for next year so it's an element we'll have to live with unless we go back to traditional starters/bench.
