DC/MD/Nova round?

Anyone in the area want to try and play next week? I'll be in Arlington and should be able to get an afternoon round in on Thursday the 14th.

No problem. We'll meet up then. I might try and get some time in at Top Golf if a round doesn't happen. It's been a long time since I've been there.

The design and format of Top Golf has changed completely since that one opened.

 

I went to the Dulles one earlier this year and was blown away. Its more of a multi bar complex with some hitting bays thrown in. Ha

Is it worth the drive? I have a hard time justifying driving another 45 minutes past a Top Golf to get to another Top Golf

I haven't been to the Alexandria one in many years.  But I would say if you're just going by yourself and your main goal is to just hit balls and experience Top Golf, then it's not worth the extra drive.  I think the Dulles one is set up as more of a party/happy hour type place.  At least the impression I got.    But who knows Alexandria could have been remodeled into that by now as well.

 

I think you're fine with the Alexandria one.

The Dulles Top golf is a great upgrade from the Alexandria one.  Worth as extra 45-minute drive though? no, it's not.  It's still Top golf and you are still hitting golf balls into targets.

i saw recently where they are planning on building a large one at National Harbor to replace the Alexandria one.  I'm sure it will be quite the show there with all that's going on, but probably also at least 18 months away.

Wowwwww that'll be awesome if they do that. There's already lots of great stuff there and I won't complain about avoiding the beltway.

That will be a great attraction for that area.  I live much closer to the Dulles one though.  I don't find myself going there very often anymore.  More of a time factor for me

I can see that, the Dulles one seems to be definitely more slanted to come have drinks and food and maybe play a game of top golf while you're at it. 

 

When the Alexandria one opened, it was definitely about the top golf and the food was just there as an amenity.  But I give them credit for seeing the market and running with it.
