golferguyjacob
Watching the raffle yesterday, on of the guys hit a 7 iron for one of the give-aways.. I think I remember it going 216 or thereabouts, which stunned me. When I was younger, i could hit my MP33 7 iron 180. Now I hit my RC forged CB on reg shaft about 160. How far do you hit your 7 iron, and what brand is it? I have a Titleist 716 AP2 7 iron and I hit it about 175-180, but I did hit the taylormade P790 7 iron around 210 Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

GolfSpy_APH
I have the ping i e1 with Nippon modus 3 stiff shafts and typically will hit my 7 about 170. It's much further then my cobra amp cell pros which was about 155. I think the whole forgiveness had a big factor with that. revkev
Just looking at the distances here I'm waiting for a lot of 120's to check in to get our average back to around 140 which is the norm for a male golfer. Rusty1885
If I'm on the range with a small bucket, I could probably put one out there 165-170. On the course I'm comfortable with 147-153 according to game Golf live. My course's par 3s are over 170 and there's been time that I pull out the 7i and knock it in the middle. I have no illusion about my occasional distance though. Some days I'd be hitting a club shorter well so be it. I'm a high ball hitter who prefer to see mid to low trajectory and I can achieve that swing from my toe, I prefer smooth aggressive swings that promote more control. My brother on the other hand would try to hit his sand wedge 130 yards and half the time he does it, I just have to shake my head and smile.
