ole gray
Hit the program goal that I was given yesterday. Got a very nice congratulatory email that then invited me to create a new 16 week goal (I hit my first one of 15 lbs. in 8 weeks). It gave me a suggested ranged and I opted for 10 lbs., near the top end. Honestly though my goal will be 15 more or under 180 by Penny's birthday. August 11. I weighed 170 when I graduated from college. I haven't seen the 170's in 25 years. I think somewhere in the mid 170's would be just right. So there's still a ways to go. I can't believe how much better I feel. Thanks for being a great support! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Hey you old fart you are knocking it out of the park! Awesome job Rick!! KJG67
Deadline report. Only lost 6, down to 204, so short of my goal. That being said, work has been brutal so gym has been out and it's all been diet. Not disappointed though. Multiple people have asked if I lost weight and thought it was more than I did. Clothes are looser too. To be continued. Reading through the comments - great job to all for anything you've done to improve your health and golf game! evershady
This week finally saw some weight loss. I was about 3 or four pounds down this week made it a total of about 9. Not sure much had to do with eating and exercise though. Got my 4th Personal Trainer visit. I made it through 3 full sets and did half the reps o the last set. 20 sit ups, 10 20# sandbag lift down to burpee back up to lift, 20 kettle bell swings, 10 pushup on that bosu ball, 20 leg lifts, then run up the stairs around the track and back down. This is a marathon, not a sprint and it's all about a lifestyle change. Exactly! I know for myself the shorter windows of being very strict with my diet make it easier to stick to. So after this week I'll prolly take 2 weeks off being super strict and have some foods I've been wanting. Also use this time to play around with some new meal prep recipes and start back up strong again on the first of may and go until the Open. Much that my program and trainer say - the goal needs to be sustainable. We had steak for dinner last night. revkev
We haven't had a good pizza since we left CT. PEPE's New Haven. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy The best! I read recently in the New Haven register that they are actually started by a frequent customer incentive. We used to get pizza from them as a treat when I lived in North Haven. So my fitness plan's lesson for the week was about not being afraid to schedule an occasional unhealthy treat (in moderation.). I've had pizza once, chips once and a corned beef sandwich twice while on this diet. I think that I may try pizza again the end of the week. Thrown in a nice salad and a slice will be plenty. tony@CIC
I know and miss actual pizza a lot. My wife is 10 pounds from her goal weight and i still have another 30 to go. When I get there I am going to La Villa in Howard Beach and having a slice. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Only one slice? When you lose the extra 30 you'll deserve more than one. txgolfjunkie
One thing I have really missed is pizza. It has been over a year since I had a slice but I had a craving tonight. I put the extra cheese with bacon and ham back and going to try this one. 54483853358__4AC3B3BE-D14C-48C1-B836-032AC8795EAF.JPG Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I'm not trying to bash your decision, I just want to inform you of something you may not be aware of: Ok, what if you could eat regular thin crust pizza and have pretty much the same macro nutritional density as this 'pizza'? Check out a 10" Dominos Thin Crust Pizza with cheese. For the same size serving, Domino's has only 40 more calories, 3g more fat, 2g more sat fat, 3g more carbs, equal sugar, 250mg more sodium, but 2g more protein. Those are nominal differences. I know Domino's isn't the best tasting pizza, but it tastes a lot better than 'veggie' crust pizza that's in the freezer section. Sometimes I don't know what tastes better...the pizza or the box it came in. Portion control and reading labels can help you understand 'healthy' options that really aren't any better than the regular stuff or can help you find foods that are truly healthy...like 'low fat' items which mean it probably has 30% more sodium than the regular option. Just something to think about next time you're making healthy decisions at restaurants/grocery stores. cksurfdude, JAGolfore and MattF 3 Quote Cobra Connect 5 Competitor - Team Chad King Radspeed 10.5* w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 60 6.5 tipped 1/2" - Peacoat/Red King Radspeed Big Tour 3 Wood w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 70 6.5 Tipped 1/2" King Radspeed Tour 5 Wood w/ Motore X F1 70 X Flex King Utility 4 21* w/ Tensei Pro White 100 X Flex King Tour MIM Copper Irons 5-G w/ AMT White X100 Onyx King MIM Black Wedges 55* & 60* w/ AMT White X100 Onyx Spider SR Pro V1x Left Dash Lefty
