AOP Santa Fe Restoration

So I've finished up the AOP Santa Fe restoration. The friend I did it for wanted it to be the same color it was with the rust on it, just without the rust and dings. So I tried as best as I could to replicate the original color of the rusted finish, and I must say, it turned out darn near identical. He wanted blue metallic and white paintfill, so that's what he got. Placement of colors was up to me, and I picked what I thought accented it best. I wished I could have gotten pictures in natural light, but I literally just finished it.

I just wished I could have photos of it outside in natural light, the color really is deeper than it looks. It's a very chocolatey color.

Thanks Dave, I just wished I'd had some natural light to show how dark it really is. I just delivered it or I'd try to snap a few in the fading evening light. That said, he was pleased with it thoroughly. I've already started my next project, which is a TeI3 Santa Fe Two. It's disassembled and ready for work to start. This one is going to be tricky because I have to straighten the topline back out seriously. It's bent down in the area the insert goes in. It'll have to be hand forged back into shape.

 

After that one, it's a Tad Moore Tour S Shorty and a refinish on one of my other gamers, a Squareback 1. I've stripped the flamed finish I did on it already. Have a ding to take out of the sole and then polish it up and do a SS Zinc Blackening.
