richk9holes
Wear this one the most of the 5 I have. Great dry tech in the fabric for all weather. Ball mark on a magnet on the brim is clutch. No sweat marks even though it's dark. I have a Puma rope hat I like a lot in terms of fit, but it says "Golf" across it and that's like wearing the shirt of the band you're going to see. sirchunksalot, GolfSpy_APH, Lefty11 and 1 other 4 Quote Finding a way to turn birdies into bogeys since 1992. #TeamChunks '23 Forum Tester: Elixir Golf Ball WITB:TS2 10.5° @ 11.25° Tensei blue AV 55 R graph•917f2 15° @ 16.5° Diamana blue x5ct dialed 70 R graph•Stealth 22° Ventus red 6 (non-velo) R graph• 699u 2i 17° tgi 70 R graph•24° Tour v 90 black pvd R steel•699 6i-PW Tour 110 black pvd R steel• SM8 50°/08° @ 52°/10° SM8 stock steel• Jaws Full Toe 56°/12° DG Spinner TI steel • c series DW 2.0 slant neck stock steel•Phantom 2 gps•Tour v3 rangefinder•Elixir golf ball•

Darryl Konter
I'm an outlier here. I wear a hat made with an SPF fabric and a big brim and a neck drape. It looks goofy, but it protects me nose, ears and neck without me having to slather sunscreen all over my face and neck. In past years I've worn the Ultimate Sport Hat by Solumbra (www.sunprecautions.com), but this year I'm trying the sport hat made by Solbari. I highly recommend both, especially if you're fair-skinned or if your dermatologist has warned you to be careful about getting too much sun. MN Loon
I switched last year to a wide brimmed hat to cut down on the Sun exposure. Dan Yates
My go-to used to be a Titleist Flex Fit black curved brim mesh-back with white outlined black raised letters. I must’ve worn it for 4 years (and it still looks good). Last year I tried a black Melin Trenches Hydro after a friend recommended them. Might be the best hat I’ve ever owned. I now have four different colors. They are sturdy, they keep moisture from my brow without getting soggy, and if I go out and work in the garden and it gets dusty or sweat stained, I throw it in the wash on cold in a light load and it comes out looking brand new. The wide flat brim really helps cut down on glare around my glasses, and I really like how light rain beads off them, and I just think they look cool. My 11 year old daughter really likes them too bens197 1 Quote Dan Yates, 55 year old trying to qualify for PA Senior Amateur in 2024; searching for some magic in my game again
ZJeb67
I've got a climacool hat from a big warehouse store. Don't particularly like the color Feel ambivalent about the shoe company logo on the front But . . . it keeps the sun out of my eyes and doesn't turn into a soggy mess from the copious amount of head sweat my overheated dome produces (apologies for that visual) Quote Driver - Stix Compete 7W - G5 9W - Big Bertha War Bird 5H/SW - Edge 6H - G15 5-PW - MT-86 OS 56 - Kirkland Signature Putter - White Hot Pro

CASluggo
I have an Aussie Chiller. Crushable, can be soaked in water, then cools you as the water evaporates. When dry, works well in the rain to keep rain off both your face, and the back of your neck. In the sun, protects your face, ears, and the back of your neck. When windy, you can pull down the elastic hat band to anchor the hat to your head. I have been using my frequently for over 5 years and it is still in great condition. bens197
NewEra world headquarters is an hour west of me in Buffalo. My wife has told me jokingly that I already have enough hats...but when your favorite sports team is in the same city as NewEra, you have the opportunity to get some customs that aren't offered on the major vendor sites. 5950 in the winter, 3930 in the summer and 940's in between. Johann Oosthuizen
This is one thing that I do not really get from golfers. We all spend as much as possible time on the golf course, usually on days when the weather is perfect. But the vast majority wear golf caps (baseball caps) that offer the least protection against the sun. I used to wear my Akubra Coober Pedy, but found that it was too hot to wear. Sweat would drip from the front of the hat onto the ball when putting. I then changed to a CANSA (The Cancer Association of South Africa) approved hat from Sunhats, the Emthunzini Oscar. It offers much better UV protection, especially on the ears and sides of the face. The ventilation of the hat is also very good. The hat is permanently in my car and I always wear it when in the sun. PS. The flatcap that I have on in my profile pic is only worn when I play golf in charity games when I wear my kilt, about 4 times per year.
