Rangefinder or GPS

I use both. There are certain things I like about both technologies.  But if I had to only pick 1 it would be a rangefinder no doubt.

This is a great thread.  I have been looking at range finders recently and have been reading about a bunch of different ones.  We have GPS on our carts but it doesn't give you the elevation differences like a range finder does and my course is full of them.  On some holes it can be 2 additional clubs.

I use both, as GPS inaccuracy is too great to rely solely on. GPS is great if you don't have line of sight, and it is easier to use for distances to and over hazards, but for approaches to the green I always use a rangefinder. I supplement that by looking at the GPS device for F/M/B distances, just to give me a rough idea of how much room I have in front and past the pin.

Thinking of these 2 Rangefinders which would be better blue Tees max 3 or Coolshot ii pro stabilized?

Also is a Rangefinder better than GPS or other way around?

I use both sometimes but I use 15th club app on my samsung watch and sometimes use my bushnell to get a specific flag yardage. Try 15th club before you spend a ton of money its free
