Cheap push cart suggestions

UNCRoss

Recommended Posts

I read the cart reviews on the main page and tried a search on here and couldn’t find any information on cheaper price point push carts. I thought I would get one for the walking days, that I don’t feel like carrying the bag.

I have a Walmart gift card and found some in the $120-$150 range but wanted to see if anyone has any of them that they like or don’t bother wasting my money and get a nicer one.

Here are some of the brands Costway, Goplus, Hoveriod, Gymax, and others.

Thanks

Jnr

Are you locked into Walmart brands? At that price point, I would recommend the Caddytek pushcart from Costco ($150 at time of posting). I feel like the 3 wheel is easier to push and has more maneuverability than its 4-wheeled counterpart.

It’s been my workhorse and I’ve recommended it to others who’ve similarly enjoyed it.

If it’s Walmart-only, the Costway 3-wheeled cart without the seat looks similar to the Caddytek and seems like it could be a good buy.

If you’re not locked into WalMart, try Facebook Marketplace. Usually some decent deals to be had there.

I have bought a few in great shape at Goodwill.  They seem to be there often.  If you have some nearby, or other similar thrift stores, you may want to check there.   Good luck!

Thanks, no not locked in to Walmart at all, I was just looking on there because I had a gift card. I’ll look into that Costco one. Thanks

I use a Ray Cook one that has served me very well. I was able to pick it up on a sale so it was very cheap at the time. Would recommend if it fits your budget.

This caddytech on Amazon looks almost identical to the one you suggested at Costco

I have a Caddytek that's very similar to the one pictured above, but without the rear storage bag and the hand brake. I would really like those two features.

I have been happy with mine and it's already paid for itself many times over. Only thing I didn't like was the cup holder which was too small and constantly fell off. I replaced it with a clamp-on cup holder designed for senior walkers (like at a nursing home, not a golf course).

At that price plenty of options, what I'm curious about is the front wheel swivel vs no swivel?

I'm in the market for another one, because I gave mine to my kid to take back to school cause it was compact and he needed it and I can use my old not so compact Callaway Push Cart for now till I find another

I bought a CaddyteK 4 wheel cart on Amazon just after Christmas which was the same as this one, albeit with the extra wheel.  Paid about $110 before tax.  I saw they had a three wheeled version, maybe this one, a day or two ago for just under $100.  Amazon's prices tend to fluctuate from day to day, so it may be back to $149 which seems like the going rate.  The Costco version tends to go on sale for $129 for about a week every two or three months.  Too cold for golf where I'm at at the moment, but assembly took about a half hour with less than great instructions that were included, and my current stand bag fits on there well, though I do plan on upgrading bags in the near future.

Thanks, I was telling my dad to keep an eye out for a push cart, and he told me he had one in his basement that he will never use again, and I can have it.  I went and picked it up today, before I played and it is a caddytek ez something.  Worked great except the top bungie cords broke on the second hole.  I am going to try to find replacement parts for it.
