The Quality of Warrior Custom Clubs?

Recommended Posts

Before we go any further, I know about the warrior scam. Thats not what I'm talking about.... I'm thinking about trying graphite shafts in my irons. I stubble onto a set of Warriors TE irons 3-pw with graphite shafts for $40 shipped to me. I know it was a good deal for a full set of iron even if they are cheap. My question is, I'm a 3 handicap and I play in a few USGA events that the clubs have to conform. Surprisingly the Warriors TE irons are on the USGA Data Base which is what these tournaments follow. That means these clubs would have had to been tested by someone to make sure they qualify. My question is, if I try the iron out and like the way they feel, what is the quality of the clubs. I know they were manufactured in California and baring the Credit card fraud that they were doing, where the clubs well built. Right now, you can pick these clubs up on the cheap and I think people on here might like to hear about the quality of the equipment and not the scam that we all know about. So, if you have used the Warrior equipment and liked it and it was a good quality, please let me know. Any, are there any other single digit handicaps in here playing Warrior equipment?

I'll be honest with so many better quality options from DTC brands I don't know why I would ever consider using a brand or supporting them when we know it is a scam.

I wouldn't want to encourage anyone into their scam regardless of how okay their kit may be.

To me it is is similar to encouraging fakes or knockoff clubs.

All just my own opinion tho.

Have to agree with @GolfSpy_APH here. Why would I ever want to support a company that knowingly scams. If the quality is fine and you can live with it sure but I would rather my money go towards companies/people who aren't doing things wrong. If their quality is good, why scam? Seems like the other shoe should drop soon.

Guys, the company doesn't exist anymore. They closed up in 2019. I'm not supporting anyone. The clubs are only available in the secondhand market. Buying a set of pre-owned irons from someone isn't supporting Warrior Golf, it supporting the person who sold them to me. This isn't about ethics, what I asked was a simple question.

I am pretty sure that we all know that; it’s still not worth throwing away even $1.00 on the crap that was offered by Warrior Golf! Those shafts are complete garbage, and you will be better off finding a couple of demo irons with better quality graphite shafts on ebay, etc. In fact, if you want to send me a PM, or email me at d.mael@verizon.net I will check among my huge inventory of demo clubs for some irons with graphite shafts that fit your flex and shaft weight specifications that will fit you and let you have them for the cost of shipping plus a few (and I mean VERY FEW) dollars.

Regardless there are still companies like Patriot golf which follow the same structure or practice that still exist.

For me, again only my personal opinion, it is the same as supporting the fake or knockoff market which in a wholeheartedly against.

I think ultimately it's hard to separate the company from their clubs - at least, as someone who got caught up in the Warrior scam, it is for ME.  That being said, I have the Warrior driver, 3, 5 and 7 wood (and all it cost was...oh my god I spent so much money...). The driver was garbage - loud, tinny, bad shaft.  The woods were better, but not great - which I found out when I went and did a fitting against other major OEM fairway woods and found out that my 7-wood, lofted at 23 degrees, was about 3-degrees weaker than any other 7-wood on the market.  The 3 and 5 wood, while relatively easy to hit, spun SO much that the ball would balloon up in the air and kill any/all distance.

So, YES, my review is tainted by having gotten suckered by the company.  That being said - I did not get what I paid for here.  I can't speak to their irons in any way, except to say that their graphite shafts in the woods/driver were NOT great.  I would strongly suggest taking up FunkyJudge on his offer - while $40 does seem like a good deal, I would imagine that would effectively be $40 wasted, and you'll be in the same predicament after receiving them.

Just my $.02 🙂

Good luck!

I'll answer the question more to the point. I would not be interested in the quality stemming from I don't want to support/condone what happened. While it may not be a company anymore, I just don't feel great about it when there are so many other options.

A playing partner of mine hit Warriors for one season. I personally witnessed two of his clubs break, one iron head slamming into his ankle and causing significant pain. Scam aside, my anecdotal experience is that they’re not worth purchasing at any cost.
