Wow. I presume you keep the headcover on when not putting? You know that weathered/distressed look is all the rage right now in furniture and other products... guess you'll just have to roll with it .
With this putter, I’m usually pretty good about putting the cover on because of the finish. With my ER7, which is stainless steel I’m not has diligent. Distressed finish you say? Home and Garden Channel here I come.

I can't recall, did you order the black color Evnroll? Mine was just plain milled finish and, while the leading edge on the sole shows burnishing, it still looks great. As I mentioned earlier, I really like the PVD/colored clubs, just not how they wear. Putters don't experience the wear that clubs do, so I'm hoping the Odyssey finish doesn't wear too fast.
Yes, the ER11v is black anodized aluminum.

I think Rob and @TJ Hall were referring to the PVD colored finish of the clubhead itself - not so much the titanium face.
It does sound different than my solid face putter, but not in a bad way. I guess I've not tried enough putters to know whether one would produce a sound that I'd dislike. What I notice as much or more that sound is the more springy feel.
I have no accurate way of comparing but I'd love to know roll distance of my Evnroll vs. the Odyssey with a controlled strike force. I'm thinking the Odyssey has a slightly hotter face.
I'm very curious about how the finish holds up. The ER11v is definitely showing its wear.

Hey Jamie. I was with my neighbor this past summer at a local golf store helping him pick out some new grips (and showing him how to install using compressed air). While there, we tried some of the putters on the putting green and it was the first time I tried Odyssey's. I rolled the "2 Ball" and a model that looked alot like my Evnroll ER5v (I think it was the older Seven T?). Both rolled putts nicely but I just can't get past the look of the 2 Ball .
As you may recall, I had a bag fitting at TrueSpec in 2020 and was moved away from my Ping B61 into a mallet-style, high MOI design. My testing of the ER5v against my B61, using a structured SG format, showed an improvement. So, as hard as it was to bench my 30+ years in the bag Ping, I followed the data and it has proven true on the course.
So now I get to see if the Odyssey AI-Milled One Seven T CH can outperform my ER5v. They are very similar in design and a design I was fitted too. Much like Evnroll's unique (even-roll across the face) groove design, the AI face technology in Odyssey's new line of flat sticks is intriguing. I'm really excited about having been chosen for this product review and can't wait to get started. If anyone has questions or would like something included in the testing, let me know on thread or the new "Members Testing Q&A thread.
Thank you so much to the folks at Odyssey and MGS staff for the opportunity!!
This is the comparison I am here for!

Good morning Spies,
Enjoying my cuppa from my office while watching the snow fall. I must say as a San Francisco native, I still love to watch the snow come down. Mind you removing 18 inches of snow from a 90 foot driveway sucks though. Which is what greeted me during my first winter in Central New York the week before I got my snow blower. Still recovering from a chest cold.
Happiest of birthdays to @Ben Joest and @tony@CIC .
Wishing all a wonderful day!

Good morning Spies,
It’s an easy Sunday morning. Getting a couple of cuppas in me. Will get a mountain bike ride on the Erie Canal Trail with my wife today. Doesn’t look to be as sunny as yesterday though. But it will be nice to get out none the less.

Good morning Spies,
Another lovely day in Central NY. We watched a favorite Christmas movie last night, The Muppet’s Christmas Carol. I Just love how Michael Caine plays it so straight with the Muppets. Got the renewal notice from my home course. The Monday through Thursday rate went up a bit. I am grateful they offer that option. Saturday and Sundays I save for time with my wife and our church has a Friday golf league.

Good morning Spies,
A cuppa down and the sun is out. Will be walking the old pupper in a bit. Not much on tap today. My coach has me down for a 3.5 mile run which is infinitely better when done outside rather than the treadmill. And there will be putting practice in the basement. Days like this make me miss the golf course.
Wishing all a wonderful day!

Good morning Spies,
Greetings from slightly snow Central New York. First cuppa is nearly finished. Not a lot going on today. My wife and I will go out to lunch at our favorite pizza place then run some errands. Saw the latest offering from Costco. The driver looks interesting especially at that price point. Was kind of hoping for “Turbulators”.
Wishing all a wonderful day!

My 2024 goal is to fully rebuild my swing. My offseason so far has been building the muscle memory. The pro at my home course has shown me the way and now I need to incorporate those changes into my new "normal".

And none of that white s#*% you upstate guys are having to deal with.
Working on some stretching, including using new neck roll the Chiro gave me, and also working on the nice, hot coffee before bundling up for a walk to acupuncture.
Yeah I know all this stuff may sound a little "out there" to some of you but hey I gotta say it's helping...
What that's the start of my Big Tuesday .. hope your work day is productive and for the non-workers hope your non-work day goes well for you!!
Not out there at all. Chiro, acupuncture and massage are always tools in my healing arsenal when needed. Whatever it takes. I haven’t tried cupping yet. My son says it works for him. Feel better soon.

Good morning Spurs, (Apple autocorrect seems to take issue with “Spies”. I elected to keep it this morning. )
It’s a beautiful sunny morning in Central NY. Coffee is going down nicely. I was happy to see that Tony Finau elected to remain a member of the PGA Tour. Looking forward to seeing some in depth reviews of the Kirkland irons.
Point of frustration during the Christmas season, Shipping. We bought my parents wind chimes for Christmas this year. We like to support small local businesses. The chimes box was oddly shaped so we didn’t have a box that they’d fit in. I went to the local UPS store. Because of the size, shape and destination, CA, it would have cost $180 to pack and ship them. My wife returned the chimes and we ordered them online. Shipping cost $0.
Not much on tap this morning. I will go for a run. My coach has me down for an easy mile today. Which is better than the 2x800s at speed (Well speed for me.) between two half miles yesterday. I’ll have get out to the golf dome this week as well.
Wishing all a wonderful day.

Good morning Spies,
Working on my second cuppa. Had a very nice Saturday. Picked up our Christmas tree and had our neighbors over for nice get together. Enjoyed good food, drink and company. A Winter Weather Advisory for tonight into tomorrow is on. Today will be a lay low kind of day. Maybe watch some Red Zone.
Wishing all a wonderful day.

Well all of this has made my decision to play fantasy golf or not all easier. I'm out.
My biggest takeaway from all of this is I have lost 96% of my interest in the pro game with 1% left over for each major. My second biggest takeaway is the whole thing (PGA Tour, LIV and DP World Tour) need to be completely revamped and restarted. Don't care how or what, but going on like this essentially guarantees I will only be watching golf events per season. Finally my last takeaway, if all these guys are going (at this point I don't care) I would imagine there is something imminent coming that would enable them to play in PGA tour events or something because the tour loosing guys continuously will make their entire platform fall apart.I wish the players well but I don’t need to watch watered down tournaments or that exhibition, 54 hole, no cut league run by a country that has no interest in human rights but because they have money to burn will spend it in an attempt get folks to ignore it.
My interest in the men’s professional game is down 96% as well My remaining 4% is as follows:
The Masters 2%
The US Open 1%
The Open Championship 1%
The PGA Championship 0%
Ryder Cup/President’s Cup 0%

Fair enough! New (or old) rumor about finau and Hatton joining LiV and Rahms team!
I just saw this posted. Rahm is the “Dambuster”. The PGA tour will soon be Rory and a bunch of guys. Spieth is a shell of his former self. JT sort of fell off the planet last year. The young up and coming ones may not have the loyalty to the Tour. If Rahm bailed after pledging “Fielty” is Hovland on the horizon? Ole Jay really screwed the pooch. To borrow from the Right Stuff.

Good morning Spies,
A crisp 33 degrees and sun in Central NY. A happy Friday to all. I’ve been practicing my putting with my eBay purchase. The feel of a bronze Ping Anser is pretty darn nice. I had debated giving it a bit of polishing but I really like the patina it has. Safe travels to @EasyPutter Feel free to toot your horn as you pass exit 39 on the Thruway. Another day of errands. I’m grateful for a seizure free night for our old pupper. He will get a walk after coffee.

Good morning Spies,
Greeting from snowy chilly Central NY. Second cuppa going down. My cold is feeling much improved. I may try a short treadmill run later. I will take the old pupper for a walk soon. Not much golf related things on tap. Mostly putting in the basement and building muscle memory for my swing.
