  1. This should be a good test and it is the first club I have put in to be a tester for as I usually have more interest in the other gear associated with golf but I'm looking to find out if a driver such as the Paradym Ai Smoke would be a game changer for how I get a ball off the tee and into play.  Currently my second shots with a 19* Fairway Hybrid go father than my driver and I would like to change that.   The Max D with the fewest possible adjustments is likely to be the one I would prefer as my driving is not anywhere near being dialed in for what works best!

Best wishes for everyone applying to test, it is an opportunity but also an adventure to do the test and review, hope everyone is up to the challenge! ⚡

    ⛳

  2. Nice looking club and will be interesting to see the experiences and results of the testers.  Off season for us in the Great Lakes region of North America otherwise would be fun to put that into the mix of my strength which is the short game around and on the green.

Best wishes for all who apply and would be great to see testers chosen from those parts of the world MGS Forum members are that don't usually get an opportunity like this!! ⛳

  3. These look very similar to putters I tried a few years ago at Club Champion in Rochester NY when I was on a sponsored Veterans weekend - the same time I was trying all manner of putters including the LAB DF2.1 in my bag.  I remember these rolled balls just as consistently and hope to see the testers of these putters discovering the same repeatable putts roll for them too. ⛳

  4. Now there is a test that I would love to participate in but will have to cheer on those who apply and are selected testers.  Can't test everything and still keep a day job going LOL just kidding, MGS Forum testing is a great experience and I encourage everyone who is selected for anything that needs testing to really make it something worth writing and sharing about WITH LOTS OF PHOTOS and videos etc.  I golf in rain, do you?

What do you like about these?

What attracts me to this putter is the way the shaft is held, like a club being used for chipping, that if observation is correct takes all wrist action out of the equation for putting.  I had tried an approximation of an armlock putter shaft when considering what to build for the L.A.B. DF 2.1 last summer when selected for that test and found the inside the wrist location to be uncomfortable and required too much attention, might have been just me or a misunderstanding of the armlock grip, but this putter held like a chipper simplifies the movement to what could be a single muscle/joint group that might possibly take my very good putting stroke to excellent.  Again last night PGA Pro Matt Clark at Niagara Frontier GC introduced me to the PGA HOPE class as the best putter he knows and that carries with it considerable weight to be the best I can be.  Despite rolling all my putts to short lag 2-putts or holing them from over 10 feet, I want to reduce the 2-putts and make 1-putts my standard.

    Good luck everyone!

I love my PXG Clydesdale putter.  It's one club that will remain in my bag.

So no possibility of testing these together 😃 Just because you test it doesn't mean you have to keep it, or move your Clydesdale out of the bag, and yes just a little twist of your arm...

    Hey MyGolfSpy,

Just had my first child 3 months ago.  He and I golf about once a week.  I created a monster golf stroller out of a jogging stroller.  Me and Leonard would love to test this bad boy out.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Chris, welcome to the Forum and great to have a motivated newly active member putting in for a test that is so relevant to what is going on in your life right now.  Make sure you get into making more posts so the Mods who have to make a decision on who is chosen have an idea how you write and see you are involved (and importantly have the potential to stay involved during and after testing is complete).  I am sure you will find this Forum is full of kind hearted like minded souls who live real life and write about it/share it.  Best wishes for being selected and make sure you check out the thread "How Testers are Chosen" for everything relevant to what will give you the best chance!  Derek

  8. You just gotta sign up for this one!  I've been using SwingU app since 2015 when it went by another name - invented by two guys taking advantage of the GPS tracking on every cell phone requiring very little battery power to operate, they got their computer coding mom to convert the data requirements to the app and presto - SwingBySwing was born in 2008.  Under new ownership/management the SwingU app is more robust and offers a huge variety of features (many of which will cater to those who love stats and improvement stuff).  Best of luck to all those applying and looking forward to reading all about how this new version of my favorite golf app is working for you, and maybe some new tricks for me to take advantage of too! ⛳

  9. It has been a long time since I have experienced envy (or is it jealousy) and knew it would happen with these custom bags when I had to console myself for not being able to join the adventure.

They look awesome - very glad that they are as good as promised and looking so sharp - very glad that this venture became a success and everyone has something to represent with that communicates professionalism and makes a statement that MGS Forum is a presence to be considered by any who see these on the course.

Going to need more consoling 😭

  10. Would absolutely love to test this one but that would not be fair to my current beloved :Clicgear: 3.5+ that I bought as a direct result of reading the MGS 2018 push cart test review (you can google it!) and have never regretted a single moment with it.  The functionality and robust design is more than capable of carrying a fully (over) loaded Sun Mountain C130 cart bag and together we have exceeded 1000 miles of golf course walking in the past 5 years plus the 21 rounds this year.  Nothing has needed repair or replacement.  Best wishes to everyone who applies and if you do not already walk or walk with a pull cart, this :Clicgear: 4.0 will change your golf life.  I will walk with my :Clicgear: 3.5+ unless it is not allowed by tournament or course, and that includes some courses with some serious vertical 👍

What do you know, there is even a :Clicgear: emoji you can use in the 🙂 emoji drop down OEM category!

I did go with white for the lettering on mine.

However there is a very good chance I end up with 2... I am not sure on the second color as of yet. Creme or Orange are the front runners for the second spot.

Here's a thought that doesn't need to be advertised, SWMBO might have an idea what she would like on "her bag" (that's a good thing to score major bonus points) 😉

That one has me really interested too... a softer white color.  I'm also digging the Moon Grey and Charcoal though.  and the Fern color, even the black looks good.

Crap... I can't buy them all! haha

The OCD in me says you need an underscore between GolfSpy and BOS because GolfSpy_BOS makes a powerful impression 🤜🤛

    La Creme de la creme!

  13. Love the idea of this bag and wish I was in the market, but a stand bag is something I would only have as bling as a cart bag is what fits my push cart as walking is my thing but carry is not a good thing for the compression it imparts to spine.  Really hope there is sufficient demand/interest in the Forum to make this happen as the design added in logo and name is something I would go for if limitations did not exist.

  14. How awesome to have L.A.B. Golf putters back in Forum testing and I personally am hopeful that Sam Hahn, as another OEM currently in testing is doing, is again as involved with the testers as this new adventure goes forward.  My DF2.1 is in my bag and I have no plans to change that.  Some other putter will have to prove itself to supplant my current putter.  Looking forward to this one and best of luck to everyone who submits to have opportunity to be selected.

New and never chosen people - READ THE HOW TESTERS ARE CHOSEN thread because if you don't do what is in that information you are definitely going to not be chosen.  This is what maintains My Golf Spy standards for OEM testing opportunities.

I haven't been chosen yet either!  That's alright I am enjoying the comrades here that can be sympathetic to my challenges on the course.  I'd like to try this one as well as it's right up my alley.  However, my time will come eventually not every can win everytime - just like my game - not everyone of my balls is straight down the fairway!  Ha Ha

You are on your way to be chosen just by having a photo in your profile and writing in the Forum threads, including this one and the others you have written in.

Believe it or not the Mods, who have to select who the testers are, go through a checklist of things they use to determine who would be a good tester, meaning who is going to receive the whateveritis and actually put method to their testing with writing posts through the process and final writeup for others to read and gain the tester's perspective on whateveritis.  The more you post and contribute to threads (perhaps some new ideas of your own in threads you create) the more evidence there is that you are present and have potential to continue to write and contribute not only the test but going forward to more tests.

This is written from the perspective of having tested 3 times already, having entered the Forum just as you have, and I find MGS Forum to be a community of friends I care about contributing to and being present for.

Welcome in and I hope to see many more of your posts and see you selected as tester!

Think this is real? How many of you posting on here ever won a test product? Just being real brah!

Real enough, tested 3 times already and all I do is follow the guidance for how testers are selected and contribute to the Forum community discussion threads.  Now I am seeing your posts in the Forum threads I hope to see your name in an announcement for being a chosen tester 👍 hope your experience changes from skeptic to mutual support and friendship in the community I have found in the MGS Forum.

So looking forward to a few of you finding the fairway with this. Less swimming for me! Good luck applicants.

Had said the Mid-Atlantic MGS Forum member meetup should give this driver a try and know you are trying to work out your travel plans.  With any luck maybe we can see how much this driver in the hands of someone with low swing speed can limit the amount of swimming you get to do that weekend.  💦

  18. Tests are coming out like clockwork now!  All you hoping to get chosen, actually read the how testers are chosen linked at the very beginning of this thread, and If you are serious about joining us as a tester, I'm looking forward to seeing your posts throughout the Forum!  Best wishes for all the new tester applicants for the Red Rooster Sussex gloves who have a photo and take the next step of posting somewhere in the MGS Forum ⛳

    Welcome Kurt!

Sorry as the title says the sign up for this is closed, but keep your eyes out for the next member test and don't forget to read the how to become a tester thread linked up top to help you better your chances at getting selected!

Looking back up the page/thread it is easy to see where the confusion is at least on the computer version of the forum

Perhaps some kind of overlay on the testing Cutoff Date box or across the announcement would make it more apparent to someone discovering the test announcement and missing the Signup Cutoff Date posted.
