  1. Because of my slow swing speed, I have played softer golf balls, and felt this was as good as it gets. Today, after reading more about golf balls, reading reviews, and listing to 'No Putts Given', I decided to try playing a firmer ball, and was rather pleased with the results.  I still hit driver pretty much the same, but the real differences was with my irons and short game. My long irons landed much further and straighter, and with my short game, when I hit a green the ball stopped instead of rolling off the green.  I have several 'Up & Downs' today, and for me that is rare.  I feel I still need to work a bit more with the firmer ball, to get the feel of them, but early indications were very positive.

It’s not from MGS. Need to use an ad blocker. Without an add blocker useless ads and plugs like this leak through

Thanks!  This makes much more sense.  I appreciate your input.

The good news is that we need only click the MGS Logo and it takes you right back to the main forum page. It's as if Jamie anticipated my "waahhhh" post 🤣.

    Thank you!

Yeah, I might go back to my Garmin Fenix… Worked great…just didnt track the shot distances.

I was a tester for Arccos.  When the year was up, I just did not feel the ROI was there to pay for a year myself.

  4. My most recent game was better than the previous one for sure.  Driver decided to behave itself, but of course my fairways and hybrid decided to take a leave of absence. Long irons were so-so, but my short game saved the day.  IF I could ever get it all together in one round, I could do something really nice....

I was wondering if a template could be setup for unofficial reviews to use. I’m not proposing anything too rigid, but it might make it easier for people to do their own reviews, and consistency in format would make them easier to read. Of course people should still be free to do what they like, but a template might streamline things

Seems like an excellent idea to me.

  6. Thinking about this question, so many things come to mind. Scenery is high on my list.  Course in good condition, of course, as well.  I also enjoy a course that is challenging, but not soul crushingly difficult (for my skill level).  I am not a big fan of courses that are ‘Kitschy’.  In my mind keep it simple and pure.

  7. Today I completed my 7th round of golf with my Shot Scope V3.  On hole 7 I noticed that my second shot was not recorded.  My usual routine is to glance at my watch after I hit to make sure the shot was detected. It seems I forgot to do it this time.  Previously when I thought my shot was not detected I would do a swing or two after the actual hit to make sure.  Experimenting around a bit, I did find that if I touched the sensor at the end of the club to my watch band it would recognize it.  So for the rest of the round that is what I did.

  8. Golf is such a frustrating thing to do. One day you can achieve pure happiness. The next day, not so much!  I am never sure which version of me will show up at the tee box.  I do try not to worry about the first two to three holes, but by the fourth hole, I can pretty much tell how the round was going to be. Today, I was seriously considering throwing the  bag into the lake by hole five! LOL

How often does everyone sync their V3 wathces?  I'm on my 2nd year and only had to sync it once in the beginning after they remapped my home course.

Last weekend I played a new course that my watch could not find. After contacting support, they had me sync my watch to update the course. When I did, there were updates for every course I have played. I went ahead and updated them all, but didn't notice any changes to the mapping on my home course when I played it this week.

Only when I play a new course. All the courses in my area, I have updated once when I first got the V3

Kind of late to the party on this but one of the main reasons that I don't post that much on topics is the navigation of the site.

Seems like there is no direction laid out in the main topics that could filter down into smaller ones.

The other is lack of testing. I was fortunate to be a tester once...but there needs to be a system where all get some kind of a shot at testing...even is it's golf balls!

I only post on subjects that interest me.  I have absolutely no interest in 'what kind of sun glasses' someone wears, or other posts like that.

  11. 1.  I chose this model because I feel they will be more 'forgiving', which is what I need.  I do hope to lower my handicap with these irons

    2. Paul/ Staunton, Va.

    3.  I am currently playing Cleveland CBX Launcher irons

    4. My current handicap 11.2

    5. I agree to participate in discussions on the forum about your experience with the irons after receiving them.
