Kenny B
I don't personally have any experience with it, but our pro uses it to post scores and tee times for multiple day events at our public course. I get a text message with the Golf Genius link to view standings. BigtazzGolf
Thanks Kenny. Right now the biggest drawback to it is cost. Gamebook is free compared to Golf Genius, cost unknown. You gotta email them for quote. Golf Genius reminds me of BlueGolf. Really like there site but not the cost lol. Big Canoer
Golf Genius is free if your club uses the USGA GHIN system. There is a premium version that has additional functionality but cost $2,500 per year. Most clubs and leagues do not need the premium version. Our club here at Big Canoe uses Golf Genius for all our tournaments and we have a large league with 110 members who play two times a week with generally 50 per day. The system works great and puts the workload on your Pro Shop staff or you as a league manager can manage it. URL for info: https://www.golfgenius.com/golfgenius Check with your proshop as every GHIN member club switched over from TPP to Golf Genius last year Quote WITB - Driver - TaylorMade M2 - Stiff flex / 12.5* 3 & 7 Wood - TaylorMade M2 6i -Gap - TaylorMade M4- Stiff flex Wedges - TaylorMade ATV 55* & 60* Putter - Odyssey 2 Ball Ball - Titleist Pro V1 Bushnell Tour V3 rangefinder Right Handed Neutral lie on all clubs
DPattGolf
The fact that you can do live scoring via an app with Golf Genius is pretty cool Quote * Staff Professional* Driver: Stealth Plus+ (7.25*) - Fujikura Ventus Black 6X Tipped 1" 3 Wood: Stealth Plus+ (14.25*) - Fujikura Ventus Blue 7x Tipped 1" Driving Iron: P790 UDI 2 iron - HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 100 6.5 4 Iron: P790 - KBS C-Taper 130 X Irons (5-7) P7MC - KBS C-Taper 130 X Irons (8-P) P7MB - KBS C-Taper 130 X Wedges: MG3 Black 50.09 / 55.11 - KBS TOUR FLT 130 X 60* Wedge: High Toe Raw - KBS Tour 130 X Putter: Custom Black ER2 or Custom Black Del Monte Bag: FlexTech Stand Bag Glove: Tour Preferred Glove Ball: TP5X #11 RangeFinder: R1 Smart Rangefinder Instagram: @dpattgolf
Adrian Salt
Hi Guys Has anybody tried www.TrueHandicap.com I have used it for several years now . It cost $12.95 per annum and its stat side is fantastic. I am not in a league but it has a society section that costs $100 for up to 25 people and further pricing depending on the size of your group. Also you can do a 90 free trial, just to see how things work...I recommend it. We are looking for sales Agents to open this up in the USA. Jim Beaumont
We love golf genius - our course sponsors cost for our men's club - but I'm hoping to find someone with more experience here, that has a definite view of best practices for setting up pairings, based purely on pace of play. We have struggled with setting pairings on index, random, modified, and just managing manual - but it's a challenge, as the league night is Thursday for nine holes and we sell out every week - so we're full w/ 52 players across all indexes and someone has to finish in or near dark. We even set up a spread sheet w/ points assigned to where you teed off - so if you tee off late every week, you have many more points then someone who tees off early every week. Appreciate any thoughts on our setting a standard that is fair to everyone.
MmmmmmBuddy
I’m almost certain that there is no setting in GG that accounts for “pace in prior rounds” as a pairings filter. Sounds to me like you have to use the manual option to send the faster players out first. You can ask the GG support this question as well. There is a Help setting on the right side of the screen. Honestly though, I’d shotgun your league. You have 13 groups across 9 holes. If shotgunned, I’d expect a 2.5 hr 9 hole round. That means closing the first tee 2 hours prior to your event.... really depends on how busy your course is. Sorry for the long response. I hope it works out for you.
