MacGregor Jack Nicklaus Muirfield 20th clubs

Recommended Posts

Forgive me if this is post belongs under another forum category or in any way is inappropriate.

I have an old set of Mac Gregor Jack Nicklaus Muirfield 20th Golf clubs which I’m thinking of selling. I haven’t used them for about 20 years so I find no reason to keep them.

I have no clue what to expect and what they might be worth so I’m wondering if there’s anyone who can help shed some light on their approximate used-market value?

I bought them from an old friend about 25+ years ago, but I don’t know which year they were manufactured. I read somewhere that these clubs were produced between 1986 and 1991 so I've got a rough idea of their age but it would be interesting to find out exact year of production just out of curiousity.

The set consists of nine right-handed clubs (3-9, S and P) and they are fully functional but in used condition.

Thanks in advance.

Here’s what various MacGregor Jack Nicklaus Muirfield 20th clubs/sets actually fetched on eBay since the PGA value guide doesn’t show them. Looking at listings for prices isn’t as representative.

You weren’t specific re: condition, that’s everything to what they’re worth, and how likely they are to sell.

Thanks for your input!

The Sand wedge has worn a bit, the other clubs are in pretty much fully functional used condition with some moderate scratches on the clubheads.

The grip on one of them has a crack in it, the rest has som tiny spots on their grips (might be able to wipe them off) but otherwise intact.

Here are some sample images:
