banana republic ad?

this (and the audi ad) have to be the most aggressive advertisements i’ve seen since joining this site. 

they fill up 1/3 of the bottom of the screen and then wrap around the entire thing rendering the whole site useless. 

the screen on my phone is starting to look like the outfield wall at a minor league stadium. 

what gives?

I know they are working on it. Definitely frustrating I have had the AUDI one on my phone constantly. I find the desktop much easier, I dont have any ads besides the bottom banner.

Hopefully a top of the chain decision will be done and it can be fixed.

i agree, much better on my desktop. im on this site on my phone 80% of the time though. 

the audi one has been around for a month or so, and i thought it was bad. but this new banana republic ad is its bigger, more annoying brother.

I dont fit in BR, tighter fit doesnt work well with this catcher build.

I am on my phone alot as well, I have definitely swapped over to the desktop more often lately.

I bought the AdBlock Pro app. It’s $9.99 a year I think, and you can use it on multiple devices.  Well worth it, not only for the forums, but it gets rid of all sorts of ad’d and unwanted junk.

Settings sliders: Block Pop-Up Windows _and_ Tracking Protection>Enhanced>Strict

I wouldn’t have even known about the monetization frustrations if not for the folks venting about the developments. YMMV but zero site functionality issues, no trackers and not a single ad for me. Because it bears repeating - I see ZERO ads
