Stuart81
Decided to change the in-fill in my Dad's Titleist AP1's. Never done any DIY on club's but having seen all the post's on here it has made me want to try it out. Not bad for a 1st go. Also working on a old Ram Zebra putter, although I have cheated by getting a member to have his friend professionally spray it as it's a cast and then I will finish it off with the paint in-fill. Will post the pictures soon Stuart Quote Follow me on TWITTER @StuartRust81 or work @OTproshop Currently in my bag; Scotty Cameron Newport oil can All my other clubs are up for sale in the Proshop New clubs on Order TaylorMade R1 Driver RBZ 2 Fairway adjustable RBZ 2 Hybrid adjustable RocketBladez Tour ATV wedges

Stuart81
Looking at torching an original Trusty Rusty before more paint fill. I can only hope I get it to turn out like some of the examples on here. revkev
Really nice job! Got to see your Paint Fill on RR's driver Richard - very impressive. I really like that slightly smaller R11 head too - I'm hopeful that this is the one that I end up with in my fitting on Friday. RookieBlue7
Tim, if you don't like it, simply dip it in CLR and it comes right back raw. That's the beauty, redo it till you like it. Hard to screw up torching or paintfill because of the ease of redoing it if you're not happy. GolfSpy Tim
RB7 - sick, I didn't realize if you messed up torching it and/or just didn't like the result that you could take it "off" that easily. Now I've gotta try it.

skihippy
I never new that CLR would clean it up either. Thats pretty cool thanks for the advice.. RookieBlue7
All the torching does is changes the colors on the outside. I've stripped many torch jobs because I got a purple here or a bronze there I didn't want or like or an uneven spot. CLR is a calcium, lime, and rust remover. It works like a champ. I use it exclusively to remove non-plated finishes. Also, prep work is key, the more you polish, the higher the polish the finished product.
