My swing needs work, but it's functional enough to play decently until later this year when it'll make more sense to work on that aspect. The mental game is the priority right now. 

The biggest benefit to this competition has been the calming of the mind. Playing limited club rounds shifts my focus and expectations. The camaraderie and banter has done wonders for me to start making golf fun again.

Chatted with a King Cobra yesterday at the Milwaukee County Zoo and he approved of the challenge and also said he’s a big fan of MGS.

The mental side of golf can be just as difficult as the physical side, especially when your round starts off with a blunder of a hole. Trying to stay in the present and on focus on one shot at a time is the ultimate tactic, but boy that is tricky sometimes... because we all love a hero shot! I struggle with the same thing every once in a while, so I know how ya feel! But, you'll get there.. I can feel it!

You just gotta find your happy place... 

Also... can someone tell me what the heck that symbolizes in Happy Gilmore?

Well I chose three drivers and 2 putters for my 4 club challenge

... @IndyBonzo has joined Moi and Team #1 in the 4 club challenge! Being from Indy it brings back memories of my First Team All Conference DE son that played college ball there. (Proud dad brag. Again) Maybe our score improves or maybe not but it is just having fun that counts*!

Looking less likely that I'll get another round in this week.  I'd forgotten my Shot Scope watch for the first nine so I used a physical scorecard for the first time in a while.  Never paid much attention to the hole handicaps before, a couple are pretty surprising.

... Most think the handicap holes are rated from hardest to easiest but they aren't. It is a complicated rating system where they basically pick holes that a higher index player would need a stroke against a lower index player. So a hole where both players may struggle can be rated lower and a hole where a low index player may have a great chance at birdie because they can cary the water or easily reach a dogleg can be rated higher even though it is an easier hole. That said, more often than not distance plays a huge role, especially if a low index player can reach in two and a higher index player would most likely need 3 shots.
