Big moose
Thanks again for this opportunity, Bella emailed me and said since we are at the outer banks this week she is going to delay shipping for me. We are going to play nags head golf course Tuesday and Thursday, the sun is finally out and the wind has backed off considerably from the 30 mph it was yesterday. Big moose
The iron covers I have now are callaway, their thin, go on easy and the quality is ok, but not great. These craftsman head covers look like they are a lot better than the ones I have now. I can't wait to get them and see how the fit is with the irons I have now. Since I am on vacation they have delayed the shipping for me. Thanks again for this opportunity. Big moose BKervin 1 Quote Frank musolino

If anyone is looking for head covers I would try these. I have 2 trips planned one in west Virginia and one in Georgia, that will be the big test for the head covers. Until next time have a wonderful day everyone. First of all I would like to thank everyone at my golf spy for picking me for this test and review. Now a little bit more about me, I am 68 years old, I am 6'3" tall weigh 280 lbs. Trying to get to 250 but that is not working out so well being on vacation. I retired in 2019 as an inspector at the company I worked for. Since retirement I have been able to play golf 5 days a week and my scores have dropped because of the extra playing time. I started using iron head covers when I got fitted for my last set of irons because I saw the way my last set got all dinged up from the cart bouncing around. These craftsman covers look a lot nicer than the ones I have and I can't wait for them to get here. Thanks everyone and have a wonderful day. Edited July 5, 2023 by Big moose I played this morning and thought a good test for the craftsman head covers would be to run one over with the golf cart, so I did twice. As you can see by the pictures it did absolutely nothing to the head cover it still looks new. Craftsman Iron headcovers introduction: I would like to thank My Golf Spy for this opportunity. I have lived in the same city in western PA my whole life. It is a small city, I don't like big cities. I am 68 years old and retired in 2019 after 32 years working for the same company. I started golfing in 1978, I bought a set of used clubs from a guy at work. I still remember, they were Dunlop MaxPower blade irons and Persimmon woods. I had such a hard time hitting those things. So I had a set of Snake eyes irons made that actually fit me, they were 3/4 inch long and 3 degrees up. What a difference that made. I presently play golf five days a week at the same course, with the same group of guys. I just started using iron covers when I got Callaway XRs in 2015. I really noticed how much they protected the clubs from dings and nicks. My current covers are from Callaway except for a "Moose" headcover for my driver. The Callaway headcovers on my clubs now have held up okay. The hybrid cover stitching came undone at the bottom and the leather is fading and cracking. My 3 Wood and 5 Wood covers are still in good shape because they are made of canvas. I will put the new Craftsman iron headcovers to the test and see just how well they hold up. Being leather, I want to see how they handle being in the sun five days a week. Do they fade, crack or peel, is what I will be looking for? I will treat these covers the same as do the ones I currently have. I noticed that the Craftsman covers have a velcro closure so I want to see how well that holds up. I ordered my Craftsman headcovers with all blue numbers and will see if the numbers wear off and how well the stitching holds up. These head covers will be exposed to rain, sun and left in my car for long periods of time. I hope I can help someone make a decision on what company has the best headcovers to purchase. As soon as I get the covers, I will thoroughly check them out to see if there is any problems with stitching or fit. If I find any problems with the covers before I get to use them, I will notify you immediately. Playing 5 days a week should put these Craftsman headcovers through a crueling test. In closing, I will do my best to give you a thorough and complete review of the headcovers. Hopefully all you spies out there will be reading everyone's reviews so you can make an informed decision whether these headcovers are worth it or not. tchat07
Covers are in! Went with the Lucky 4 Leaf Clover set. Father-in-law is big into Irish heritage and we gave our son a very Irish name so it seemed fitting. Came individually-individually package, seemed excessive but appreciate the care. You can see where they were folded we shall see if that comes out. Lipped out a possible hole-in-one today with them in the bag. So you can look at it two ways, they're unlucky because it didn't drop or they're bringing some luck because that's the closest I've ever been, I'm going with the later! tchat07
So I did a deep dive on the headcovers and found a couple "flaws". I put that in quotes because does it affect the purpose of the headcovers not at all. However when the purpose of the headcovers is to be artistic (and not Jackson Pollock artistic) the flaws matter. Big moose
Well, I have noticed one thing about the craftsman head covers I have, the end at the opening is starting to curl inward and sometimes it makes it hard to get the head of the club in.
