Perhaps it's going a step too far, but I wear gloves on both hands. @EMJL while I'm firmly in the no glove for putting camp, your comment about gloves on both hands isn't too far, for full swings anyway. I've been known to wear 2 gloves when it gets overly humid and/or when my hands are extra sweaty, which for me happens more than this overweight fella wants to admit. Byrnzee
Similar to many others here, I never putt with a glove on. I take my glove off in between shots as a way to reset myself. Once glove goes back on, I know it's all business. I typically don't wear a glove 30 yards out from the green. Chip shots, finesse shots around the green and putting are all gloveless. Bunker shots are the exception. I like to have the feel in my hands with my wedges and putter. In the heat of summer, there are days when my swing thought is, "hold tight so you don't throw the club." Oh man have I been there! Ha. This is usually when I tell myself to stop, go get the lower hand rain glove, then get after the swing. Once I got over the 'stigma' of wearing 2 gloves, completely changed my rounds. I went from focusing on "hold tight..." to focusing on the actual shot/swing in front of me. EasyPutter
I was a glove on guy. It lasted until the end of the Red Rooster Sussex glove testing in May. I forgot the newer glove and had the older glove so put on the old worn glove for the round. By the middle of the round I had a rash on the back of my glove hand and the glove had to come off. It was golf so I kept playing sans glove. The rash took weeks to clear. Color me into the No Glove camp (SURPRISE!) for any club including Putter. 126 rounds this year (so far) and 96 rounds without glove. Rob Person
only started playimg a little over a year ago now, I wore a glove all the round through. mostly because I was playing solo or with 1 other person. last few times I played, I was with a foursome each round, and because of the time between shots, it " felt" as if the glove was stretching out by wearing it. so I'm a 50/50 glove person now depending on the group im with. I really can't feel a difference in putting either way. I have tried taking it off between swings and when I chip and putt, but keeping that glove on just seems more natural to me. If during the heat and humidity of summer when the glove gets drenched, I will switch to another glove as needed. I guess this is a habit I retained from my baseball playing days. That's funny, I played baseball when I was younger as well, but for me I only wore my glove when batting. In the back pocket when baserunning and fielding. Carry that over to golf - it's always in my back pocket except when hitting a club (except for putter). AllyK
Glove on I tend to hit the ball harder and put it past the hole when putting, not something is usually do, only when rushing a hole a bit. Also pull it left a bit more. Probably makes sense physically, but wonder if that could be utilised somehow Quote Mizuno MP59 irons, mizuno ST-X 220 driver, Cobra speed zone 5 wood, Titleist 3 Hybrid, Taylormade wedge, janky £2.45 charity shop putter

AllyK
TBH not sure why I even wear a glove at all. Will try my next round without one. I’m a drummer also, and have played mostly without any glove for that, which is way more intense. I played with gloves, but now I think about it I stopped, as I lost feel and control. Might have to go back to that. Will report back Quote Mizuno MP59 irons, mizuno ST-X 220 driver, Cobra speed zone 5 wood, Titleist 3 Hybrid, Taylormade wedge, janky £2.45 charity shop putter

Bdubbs
My glove stays on for the whole round. Feels weird to me not wearing one while putting, when I wear it for every other club. Josh Parker
Adding to this thread a touch. For those of you who don't wear a glove at all, what grips are you using? I am really starting to consider trying no glove because between sweat and amount of play, they are starting to get expensive.
