Great write up @Bobbers - I think no putter is going to suit every player but glad you got to test it out, see if it worked and now you know! I must admit it took a while for me to get used to the milled face given I hadn't played one before - definitely a different feeling to it all. Big thing is that didn't put you off, you gave it a solid crack and did a great review on it all.

I did give it a thorough test and as I said in my final review, I felt as though I let the putter down.  It's a work of art and has worked for some of you guys, I'm just sorry the Runner and I didn't click.

Regardless, it was a great opportunity to take a disciplined approach to truly evaluate a golf product.  I learned a LOT from the experience.

I've finally gotten the tenth round with the Runner completed and my final review is appended to the original post.

Great review!  Will you go back to your old putters while you wait to find the ONE !?

Had a great time using my Runner putter over the course of the outing. While I did purchase some competition for it, the putter is really good. I think everyone I played with was a bit surprised with how good it felt/sounded. There really is a lot to like about these and I would encourage anyone who is curious about them to see if you can try and find one to try.

I played a friendly Ambrose game through work during the week and a 6 handicapper I was grouped with had forgotten his putter (he has a putting green in his backyard and forgot to put it back in his bag!) and as such I let him borrow the RUNNER. He loved how true it was - he typically plays a Spider so the mallet style worked well for him but was a big fan. Gave him the details of it all and was impressed with how it looked and felt off the face - he got used to it pretty quickly as well and who knows, may have another convert...

Thought I’d post a bit of a post test update on the Runner. It had been continuing to perform really well and as it always had done but then I had a couple of rounds where I seemed to be missing putts that were lined up well and I’d usually sunk before with the Runner. This confused me a bit and I couldn’t work out what was going on. I had a session on our practice green and was able to realised that the grip had become a little loose and had rotated ever so slightly. As a result even though I was lining up my putts properly the loose grip meant that my putting stroke wasn’t straight, hence the misses. Now that I’ve secured the putt all is back to as it was and the Runner continues to be an outstanding bit of kit.
Have to admit I was surprised at the grip having come loose as never had this happen before and how new the putter is

Very odd indeed! Is it still loose or had it slipped and seems stable now?

Which grip was it you had?

Mine still seems to be working very well for me so very surprised to hear about this!

It was loose. Rotated about 1/8th of an inch. I’ve secured it now.
It was the Garsen grip. I really like the grip and not sure how it had come loose

Very odd indeed. One for me to keep an eye on but have been chuffed with how well mine is still looking (and with plenty of people remarking on it still!).

Still haven't seen any issues with headcover or shaft like yours either... fingers crossed

By chance have you been leaving the clubs in a hot vehicle for extended periods?

The shaft issue was more down to the plastic edge of the putter well I think and since changing bags have had no issues.
The head cover stitching hasn’t deteriorated any more

Ahh now that’s a good point! It was left in the car one day when it was warm so that could well have done it. Thanks for that. Will make sure it doesn’t happen again
