Is it worth getting alignment sticks and how do I use them

Yes; even used by players at the highest level of play.   Google alignment stick drills and you will find lots of ways to use them.

Save yourself the money and go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy the cheap orange driveway lining sticks. You can buy 5-6 for the price of “real” alignment sticks and they do the same thing. Just my $0.02.

Very valuable in terms of how they can help your game. Proper alignment and swing plane are much easier to check with sticks.

Agreed!! I even found yellow ones at Home Depot a few years ago for $2-3 each. I keep three of them in my bag all the time just so that I never forget them at home. Alignment stick cover cost me more than the alignment sticks. 😂

How to use them depends on what you are working on. They can aid in alignment and ball position. Th is is what many pros use them for at all their range sessions.

they can be used for drills with them inserted in the club. They can be put thru belt loops and in the ground to work on proper movement patterns.

they can be stick in the ground to work on proper takeaway and downswing positoning in the swing

@mdolynchuk asks a great question. I only use alignment sticks for two things. First, they help me line up shots at the practice range. Second, I also marked one of my sticks with marks every six inches to help me with putter strokes.

I would appreciate learning how others are using alignment sticks as well.

Worth using. maybe not everytime you practice.  Go to LOwes or Home Depot and get them and they are less than 3 bucks each.  Some good drills you can do as well as helping alignment

And yet most pros use them every session for alignment. If the best in world have sticks down for alignment and/or ball position it’s probably a good idea for the amateur golfer to do the same.
