Old Putters, are they still legal in tournaments?

Recommended Posts

HI All, just asking as I have a goal to play in a local tournament this year (fingers crossed) but I have a old putter I believe from the 80's and I wanted to make sure I can use it competitively. It is called an STX Sync 3 putter, very unique putter and I really enjoy using it.  The tagline for this brand is "softest legal face in golf"

Thanks @cnosil, that's good to know. It seems like you have to rely on the brands to ensure the club is legal or not.
