Hard to answer as I have never experienced true 110+ temps, on feels like because if the humidity and such.   Haven’t found the temp to be too high yet.

I play mid day in the middle of summer in the mid Atlantic. Hot and humid is the norm. Really have no issues being in 100+ degree weather with humidity.

There are plenty of people doing harder things for longer periods of times in 120+ temps.

100% agree!

I’ve played here when it was 110+, and I’ve played in July in Phoenix, Tucson, and Palm Springs!  Doesn’t bother me… but they are all “dry heat” conditions.  I’ve also played in July in Orlando, Naples, and New Orleans… not much fun for me.

My wife has to be careful when it gets near 100.  She got heatstroke at a July 4 golf and BBQ event many years ago, and she will start feeling it.  She’s had to quit in the middle of a more than one round!

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I played last week when it was 98 and about 70% humidity. That was rough. I refilled my water bottle three or four times. I would play in conditions like that again (hello, Texas summer!), but I'll avoid doing so if possible. It's so easy to overheat, that I don't blame anyone for pulling the plug.

Heatstroke is no joke, and guess I never really dealt with the drastic humidity element that the east coast and south have to deal with. I'm sure that changes the tolerance drastically. Glad your wife knows when to call it quits before it gets bad.

Not many people are hydrating properly on a regular basis and it affects them easier and quicker on hot days.

Drink plenty of water and electrolytes during the week every week. Then drink a bunch of water first thing in the morning and throughout the day. Drink electrolytes and water during the round and eat things like bananas, nuts, a sandwich, chips during the round

You have to add the humidity and wind into the temp to get a better understanding. In Florida it's been in the low to mid 90's every day since early May and with the humidity, a heat index of 105+. However, generally we have a sea breeze by 11:00 am which makes it a bit more tolerable. Add a cloudy sky and it feels even better. I hydrate continuously during the game, but I do feel that I'm not playing to my full potential in those conditions. On the other hand playing in those conditions is still better then sitting home and watching TV.

Mid 90's with high humidity makes for an uncomfortable round, even if hydrating properly.

Have played in those conditions and also played in Vegas where it was over 100 degrees, but no humidity to speak off, and that was a much easier round to get through, again hydrating properly.

Living in Michigan, if you want to play golf anywhere, one needs to be adaptable to different weather conditions, both warm and cold.

... Previous summers I played to around 113* but the dew points were in the mid 40*. This summer the dew points have been hanging around 60* and it is a huge difference. It was just too unpleasant my last round at 112* with that high a dew point and I was sweating a ton. Normally the sweat either evaporates in the dry air or the wind from the cart I ride in the summer evaporates it before I notice. Not this Sumer, or at least so far.  Looking pretty bleak for the next week or so and some rain would be really nice.

I will accept cold and rain ahead of any 110 degree heat!  Yes I am a wimp.  Golf in Vegas in the Summer is like torture especially if it’s a slow round!  Rain as long as the green is puttable… works for me.

Depending on the day, I'm a real softy or I try to take advantage of the heat. I either stay home because it's not worth it to play that day or I tell myself its so hot that not very people will be out there so I go out and play.

Location Location Location! We all deal with our own adverse weather conditions. Florida is heat and humidity, where the fun comes is the no-see-ums and mosquitos! With the heat and humidity, hydrate as much as possible before, during and after. We use Liquid IV for a boost to water. I don't care what they say, you never truly get used to the heat or cold. You can still die from both, even if you are "used" to it. Protect yourself as much as possible and soldier on! And don't forget your sunscreen!

In European or Canadian terms, I am a wimp on heat so I bail if it’s over 40C.  So 104F for you non metric people. Fortunately in Western Canada that usually never happens. But in other parts of the world it’s pretty common.  I have played in snow and hail and it’s  not great but usually playable! 😂

115 F = 46 C pretty common for Pheonix AZ, with 30% humidity.  Orlando, Florida 95F = 35 C with 90+ humidity creates a feel like temperature of 112+. Disgustingly sticky! You will sweat from areas you didn't think you could sweat from. This is true from anywhere on the Gulf coast.

Another factor is pace of play.

Took the kids out today with a 9:14 tee time. It was 92 degrees and 70% humidity. It didn’t feel that bad, but we ended up pulling the plug after nine holes because the group in front of was SO slow. It took us 2 hours and 40 minutes to play nine holes. Kids were understandably getting very uncomfortable, so we audibled and went out to lunch.

I don't mind playing when it's 90-96°, but combine that with the humidity we have right now and it's oppressive just to walk outside, let alone play golf. We've  had a 103-113 heat index for the last 10 days and it's just soupy outside and drains your energy pretty quick. #yuck
