We were spot on with the F6+, but the M1 and the DBD over the M2 and XR 16 were surprising considering their higher MOIs.

Thumbs up on that! I picked up the 2014 callaway big bertha fairway wood, that won most wanted fairway a couple of eyars back, and that thing is still a beast

I'm really surprised to see the 816 DBD come in second in accuracy. I wouldn't have considered for that. I thought it would be more of low spin bomber, but I guess that depends on how you have the weights set. I may need to give it a swing. I still love my Cobra King LTD but I'm also a huge Callaway fan. These results were somewhat surprising to me.

Been reading the comments on the main article and I have to agree that The testing is so flawed! 

 

They didn't even break the data down into draw biased drivers swung outside-to-in with the tee 1, 1.5, and 2 inches high among all possible swing speeds between 80 and 110mph in 2 mph increments. How many tees were in the testers left pocket during testing? What about ball markers?

Indeed! Just got fit for the M1 last night with a rouge silver shaft. Price tag was $505! Thank god I had a gift card to cover most of it!! Felt freaking amazing!! 270 carry 1700 spin rate with 15* launch.

Awesome test once again and not surprised at the majority of the results. M1 is good. I am a bit Dumb founded at how the Alpha and M1 430 finished so high. Those are two of the most difficult to hit and lowest launching and spinning drivers I've hit this year.

It would depend on the testers, honestly.  The lower swingspeed guys (sub100) would've hated it.  For guys that have an ascending AOA, they would've likely saw what I did and that's too little spin (I did pair mine with a HRZDUS Black then a HRZDUS Red).  The ball, for me, actually fell from the sky early.  My swingspeed averages 113 on Trackman.  I have an ascending AOA and the ball was falling out of the air early, side by side with my gamer.  If you're someone that has a descending AOA, you'd benefit tremendously from it as the weight in the sub zero CG orientation SLASHES spin.  It's swing dependant on how well it'll work for you.  For me, it didn't work well.  I did buy an M1 430 yesterday after seeing some impressive numbers with it in the simulator side by side with my gamer.  Swingspeed was off with both (116.7 average versus my trackman numbers) but swingspeed was off with both.  The M1 on the balls I hit well with it was longer than my gamer I've now tried 51 times to replace.  True test will be on the course tomorrow.  Initial impression is promising though.

Who won?

I won, drove the 10th green that was playing 323 but this guy hits a 270s power fade with a almost vertical-45* slow matsuyama like, Back swing. almost baseball style. Hit almost every fairway but he is going to pga school
