I actually had one tuesday, second shot on a par 4 never left the ground from 80 yds, and after curving around a bunker it settled a foot from the cup.

    Good call this afternoon. A little more than the usual banter as the Kingsmill trip is now on the near horizon. Good discussion about putters in general with more detail around the new Vice putters launched earlier this week. Style is not bad; however, Jamie mentioned the heavier weight could be an issue for some. Time will tell but they definitely gave them a number of available color combinations with possibility of future customization as well.

    Went to the club to hit some chips and putt but the range was closed and the greens were being watered. The course was pretty empty due to a mid day tournament so I decided to go out and play 9... That turned into 18.

    Shot a personal best of 84! Besides that, I played with the same ball for the first time ever. That's huge to me.

    Hit some great chips to save par. Kept the ball in play off every tee box. Made a few bad swings and missed some putts that I shouldn't have but still very happy.

    On top of that, met some great guys out there. Someone called me a "good golfer". That's crazy. There's levels to good.

    Seems the lessons and constant practice is starting to slowly pay off.

    Can't wait to fire a 110 next time out because golf....emoji23.png

    Thank you guys! She does have another surgery scheduled for the 13th. We see the surgeon on Wednesday for that. Still waiting on the cancer dna analysis to see if chemotherapy and radiation are needed. We’re hoping not, but I’m betting there will be one of the two treatments for her just to make sure they got it all. I finally got a decent night’s sleep. She’s doing very well and is a chattering squirrel 🐿️. I’ve never heard her talk so much 😂. Got to be the pain meds. Have a great day!!!

    Glad to hear that everything is going well and positive thoughts for the dna results. My bride went through the radiation with her treatment journey.

    Glad you finally were able to relax a little and get some needed sleep.

    Good Thursday Morning Spies!

    Well, the day started with a cancellation of weekly league play due to course flooding after yesterday's deluge. It was a heavy one for sure as we got a little over 3" in about 1-1/2 hours at the house but were spared any severe conditions. More forecast for this afternoon... just lovely. 🥴

    With the weather, indentured servitude, and scheduled holiday activities, it appears my golf fix will have to wait for next week. and worse yet will not have an entry for week 5 of VCT... 😣😭

I thought wind was going to be my biggest concern.(25mph with gusts of 33) I was generally pretty happy with ball striking today. Actually hit fairways and 5 GIR. Shot 39 which was much better than yesterday for sure. My downfall? I had three, 3 putt greens. Nope wind didn't cause any of it. It was the $%#@^%$ deerflies. I always had 4 or 5 deer flies constantly biting and buzzing my head. Even flying under my eyeglasses when I was putting. Talk about losing my concentration. Not sure if it was the white shirt or not but geez o peez. They were horrible today.

    Glad you had a better day even if your local wildlife had other intentions...🤨

    Good Wednesday morning All!

    Thank you for all the well wishes for the spousal unit. She is doing well this morning, and we will be heading to follow up appt in a few minutes.  Just think, get to do this all again next week for the other eye...

    @Josh Parker hope your shoulder heals quickly and you can return to the course.

    @Erin B hope all is progressing well for your better half this morning and you both were able to get some much needed rest last night.

    @StrokerAce thoughts and prayers for all things good for your wife and family as you continue your journey down this road.

    Just getting out on the course and challenging yourself to be better than you really are.   The community, being able to golf with friends, meet new people at the course.

    The community.  I am friends with @Preeway and golf together when I can.

    Omaha, NE.  I guess I'd consider Stone Creek Golf Course as my home course. 

    What are the best and worst things about golf in your region?

    In the Spring it rains, in the Summer its hot, in the Fall its windy, in the Winter its not possible.  But those seasons when its in, it can be really good.  Lush, green courses. 

    What do you do for a living?

    Technology Product Manager for a large construction company

    Going to be doing my best "Driving Miss Daisy" imitation today as SWMBO has cataract procedure a little later this morning. Then it will be two days of full unadulterated indentured servitude... 🥴 😉
