IF and when anyone tries the speed training be sure to post about it! I am very curious and looking to get to doing a bit of that when I finish up this work trip. Being able to record swings and see the differences when trying to ramp up speed I think will be really cool!

Hey Spies!
I am working on a refurb of some vintage Hagen/Haig irons, which I got from Goodwill in very good shape. The ferrules, however, are beyond saving. These clubs are drilled all the way through the hosel, and have the rubber cap at the end (like some older Big Bertha drivers and irons). I have no experience with that kind of head removal and reshafting, so I removed the ferrules and plan to use the Golfworks two-piece / split ferrules as replacements. (Full disclosure: I started heating one to remove the head, and the thing would not budge. It's on very tightly, which overall is a good thing, but it led me down this alternate ferrule path.)
Some of the reviews on the split ferrules were not so great.
If you have used them, will you let me know how it went from an installation and endurance perspective?
Any tips on installation?
FWIW, I plan to be somewhat more generous with the epoxy than normal to try to ensure they stay on the club in the right place.
Thank you in advance!
I can't save I have ever seen two piece ferrules and now I am curious so will go searching... not because I want them, but because I am curious as to what functional purpose they serve vs a one piece.

You will likely need to "fuse" them together after both sides are epoxied with acetone. Otherwise I don't recommend them.
epoxied with acetone? Please explain further!

I know this is a long shot but thought I would throw it out there. I have been playing a set of Bridgestone J15DF irons for a long time and still like them but was looking for some new sticks. Is anyone our there familiar with these compared to the Takomo 201? Without seeing the 201 in person it appears to be a little more cavity and probably a bit more forgiving. If anyone happens to know how it would compare please let me know!
I can't say for certain, but the 201 will likely also have a thicker topline than the bridgestone. The other factor to look at is the lofts and see what those differences are.
I haven't played either iron, but have seen them separately before.

@Byrnzee where do you feel improvments could be made? Any standout features for you?

For me it depends on the purpose of the bag. I have a lighter stand bag that I use for walking/push cart, and then I have a cart bag. The stand bag has only 4 dividers and it's great for that purpose. The cart bag pictured below I picked up for Christmas and it has 15 way individual dividers that extend the length of the bag. It makes it easier to pull clubs out of a cart and put them back in. I love it.

After a few tries, now it allowed me to post. But still, puzzling behavior.
Our spam filter is set to pretty sensitive settings due to ongoing attacks from bots everyday. If this happens send the contact us a note and I will get the email and can clear your account.
For reference the filter normally blocks 100+ attacks a day and unfortunately there are a few that get caught into it. This is normal if you use a VPN or other server and bounce around IPs.

I really like what Arccos has done with the new link Pro. It addresses many of the short comings of the caddie link.
Better microphones, don’t have to worry about it being covered by clothing, can more accurately mark pin locations, significantly longer battery life plus storage charger box, don’t have to worry about clip becoming undone and losing the link on course. Trust me, it happens. My initial reaction, was it’s about time and I clicked on to purchase, my first question was then how much? But here are my concerns.
Price at $225 us or $300 Cdn, plus shipping and tax, it costs more than the sensors when I originally bought them and still more expensive than current sensors. Hmmm. I have 2 Caddie links (mine and my wife’s), so I should spend $350 Cdn (with taxes and shipping) and render my old links obsolete for a few added features. Hmmm, hmmm. Plus continue to pay my $155us annual fee, plus most likely a new set of sensors as my current ones are 4 years old and the battery is not replaceable, triple Hmmm
Which got me thinking, I really like Arccos and I am a big fan of the data and have 400 rounds of data. If Arccos was smart, they should offer a significant discount for existing link owners. Or am I better off, buying an iWatch instead or do I say nuts to the annual fees and opt for Shotscope, for roughly the same cost of the new Link Pro. Has Arccos, inadvertently opened Pandora’s box by pricing it such that people are now looking at all their option’s. So while a very nice an overdue upgrade, it’s something that should have been in place awhile ago, so my money is staying in my pocket. What are other people’s thoughts?
Annual fee means I'm out.
I'm just not doing the subscription models unless it's a simulator.
Not when there are systems like Garmin and Shot Scope that have no annuals.

I have a new driver shaft coming early next week and I'm really excited to build my first club. It is a graphite design tour VF brand new and uncut. I know how to install the tip and how to do a grip on it. I was curious if I need to do any trimming butt or tip to get it ready. I saw on the website that GD doesn't recommend tipping their driver shafts so that would mean leaving the tip alone I believe. But do I trim 1/2" to an 1" off the butt to make it my playing length? I actually prefer a little longer driver shaft so could I play it in the 46" off the van length?
thanks for the help!
If they don't recommend tipping their shafts then yes, that would leave the butt to be you spot to trim. I was in the similar situation with my Newton shaft and reached out to them and asked. The said to trim the butt end so the flex stayed true to its stated dot count.
I am the opposite and prefer a slightly shorter, so I would lean to trimming, but if you have doubts or want to see if it is possible to trim the tip then I would suggest contacting GD.

7 hours ago, vandyland said:Well after almost a year of deliberating between the OG Skytrak, Rapsodo MLM2Pro and Garmin R10...I have purchased the Rapsodo MLM2Pro. It came down to (a) I have the space for it (at least length wise, not sure if my net will be high enough for wedges but that is a future issue and (b) the app experience and connectivity/setup ease. Seemed like Skytrak doesn't have much support and seems to struggle with connectivity. Garmin R10 worried me a bit from an accuracy standpoint. Ultimately it seems like Rapsodo is supporting their product well and responsive on the customer service side.
I don't love that I have to re-purchase the premium subscription each year (after this year where it is included) but I can also figure that is the cost of 12 large buckets of range balls and/or a nice round or two at a high end public golf course. If I don't feel like I am getting value on it I can try to salvage some value by selling it I presume. I think I will like it! Right now I am excited and it should be delivered next week. Thanks to the testers on this thread who convinced me this was worth my investment.
They did just add in a speed training program and are constantly making new updates so at least from my point of view they are deliver new products and functions to an already great product!
