tony@CIC
Jumping in late but I was 278 Feb 28th and Im 265 this morning. Logging everything I eat and currently no alcohol and limit myself to a diet soda or two a week. No sweets and I pack lunch everyday at work even though I can eat for free...which is one reason I got to 278. Im doing cardio most days as well as weight lifting. My long goal is 215 but Im looking to be in the 240s by June 8th for daughters graduation. I have been doing 1500 calories a day on no workout days and go to 2000 on heavier days. Welcome to this weight loss thread. You'll find a lot of encouragement here. revkev
One of my Docs years ago told me to not weigh yourself everyday. The body fluctuates with what, when you eat, water, coffee etc.. he told me to weigh in once a week same time preferably morning B4 eating, drinking anything. pulledabill
No such thing as late, you're doing great! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Thank you. Little aggressive on the caloric intake but I just want that initial weight loss for quick results. evershady
So today I finally had my 3rd visit with the personal trainer. Two weeks ago he had to travel and couldn't meet at normal time, then I went home to Missouri to play in the alumni basketball tournament with my brothers. We are all over 30 and outta shape so didn't fair well, 3 games over 2 days, but it was fun to play and exhausting. Last week did trx workouts at home with the wife, difficult but fun. And today I decided since I did so well down home I would play ball with some kids at the y before my trainer appointment. 15 minutes of full court( short side) 3 on 3 is rough playing high school kids with no breaks or subs. Side note if I was in shape they would have been dominated. I was doing really well in the post for the first 5 minutes. Then ran outta gas. Then went to the session. 1000 meter row in 4.5 min maybe coulda done under 4 with out b-ball, 20 lunges with 15# plate twist to each side, 20 sit ups, 20 push-ups, 40 air squats. 20 leg lifts, 20 15# curls, had to take a break after 5 to not die, then 20 30# overhead tricep extensions, finished with 20 5# side shoulder raise with slow lower, started with 10# but that was too much. I was supposed to do more than one set, but I was toast. I guess the moral is don't try to keep up with high school kids before personal trainer session. Also need to work on left leg strength, much harder to do left side on trx and could barely finish lunges today. Right leg and abs could have done 20#, or 25#. pulledabill
Here is the frustrating part of weighing daily and I will probably stop after tomorrow and go to weekly and let the mirror and belt loop tell the story. Been 264 to 265 the last few days even though Ive exercised and ate right. Yesterday I worked 16 hours but planned for it and packed 1900 calories worth of food for my meals. I got in plenty of steps, drank my water, and fugured Id be good. Stepped on scale this morning and it was luje 268.5 ...wth! Past experience tells me this will happen but still a little frustrating. Today is the start of my weekend which means a few errands to do, hour of yard work, but instead of the gym I will walk 18 since its sunny and 60 here today then back to the rain. I will step on acale tomorrow morning just to make sure it goes down as Im sure it will and I will be back to 264 or lower in a few days. Actually, by the end of the week I expect to be 260. txgolfjunkie
If you don't mind me asking for those on a regimented weigh in/trip to the scale... Canucklehead
Down a pound one morning, up half a pound the next versus weighing yourself every Saturday and being down two to three pounds over the whole time. I know it helped encourage me Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk Rickp, tony@CIC and MattF
