Haha your stance on how little short game matters is well documented

I agree with stroker here - Tiger's ball striking outside of driver has been incredible as has his wedge play.

 

But Scott and Koepka have been ball striking machines. How about the 1 iron Scott just hit (called it a 1 iron for Nifty's benefit). :)

 

The leaders are the ones giving themselves the most short birdie chances.

It matters - but the guy who is leader by has hit the best approach shots - that's the norm on the PGA tour which is also well documented.

I know that Bellerive didn't play that long when Gary Player won his Open there.

 

I don't know why they always screw around with golf courses.

 

Just another thing to be grumpy about, I guess.

Equipment was quite a bit different in 1965...

 

I think the course played very well.

Kudos to the PGA on a great tournament and to St Louis for hosting.

Excellent and respectful galleries all 4 days.
