... That said, Packers have 2 starting WR's out and I think 3 rookies with zero NFL experience playing for a QB taking over for Rodgers. Good luck with that. Bears have improved their defense drastically, have a solid Oline and added playmakers, especially Moore. The wild card is still Justin Fields that has yet to prove he can read defenses past his primary WR and get the ball out of his hands quickly. Bears favored by 2.5 and I think they will do better than that. But again new team and first game so buckle up because it is always a bumpy ride...

Packers vs. Bears will be a really fun game to watch. Obviously biased as I am a Packers fan. Not having Watson isn’t ideal but hopefully Doubs will be able to go. I expect to see LOTS of Aaron Jones (170 all purpose yards and 2 TDs in first meeting last year) both out of the backfield and lined up as a slot/outside WR and Dillon in the backfield. Jones is the X factor and I am sure the Bears know and will be prepared for this. If the line holds up and gives Love time, offense should be OK, but will lack explosive plays without Watson (and more if Doubs can’t go). I’ve got the Pack in a one score game, but certainly could go the other way. Packers defense at full health is a huge upside, was ecstatic to see Rashan Gary at the top of the depth chart for week one.

We’ve already got a season long bet on two dozen Ksigs, I’ll leave it at that lol. Besides, the nearest DSG is over an hour from my home and I’m not paying extra to buy one dozen online

... Didn't see the Ocean Hawks but if they were anything like the Bears and Giants, it reminded me of high school when the JV teams got to scrimmage against the Varsity.

Way, WAY, too early to say Jordan Love is going to follow in the footsteps of Favre and Rodgers, but very pleased with how he played for GB yesterday. Completion pct. was not great, but he did exactly what I've been saying he needs to do this year. Not turn the ball over. Also was really impressed with him on 3rd down. Lots of YAC which help pad his throwing stats, but he threw some great balls yesterday as well. The second TD to Doubs was a great throw (and great catch), and if not for a route miscue with Musgrave, he gets a deep ball completion (and possibly TD). Was really impressed with Jayden Reed, defense was flying around making plays and did a much better job of containing Fields on the ground than I thought they would be able to do, and overall just looked solid. Going to be bumps along the way because when a team is that young it is inevitable, but was a great start to the season!

In seriousness, glad to see the Pack play well. Doesn't move me off my 7-10 best case, but was fun to watch.

... I don't wanna sound like sour grapes and it's only one game, but Love looked average in every way. One thing that is always a red flag for me is missing open WR's when you aren't under pressure and the really good ones don't miss open QR's when they are under pressure. That said, he is light years better than Fields.

Way to early to celebrate, but the big 40 - 0 over the G-Men was a great way to start the season for the Cowboys.

Not much work was needed from the Offense, I was kind of annoyed with the very low offensive yards and passing yards, got to say Pollard still look like a stud, Ceedee is solid and despite the very low yardage, Brandin Cooks is looking like he is at home.

But the D# made my night, the Defense made Danny Dimes look like Danny Pennies, I almost felt bad for how many times he got sacked, talk about 11 from heaven, Micah wasnt even slowing down on his way to the QB, Gilmore still got it, Diggs was playing well, as long as he keeps in check with the big plays and try not to get burned too much on the deep balls, our secondary should be ok, the rest of the defense also played well, I was a little tired to see Daniel Jones picking up yards with his legs, but that did not hurt the Cowboys for the game, however that is a biggie when we play Hurts twice this season.

The kicker gave me a bit of worries with the first PAT, but he seemed to have settled for the rest of the game.

Next week we got the good old Mr Rodgers, lets see if they can keep him in check.

Definitely only one game, I don't think I would say he looked average in all facets, especially in 3rd down situations, but I am a Packers fan so that is what it is . The 8 yard fade TD to Doubs was anything but an average throw IMO, and if it was Rodgers who threw it, it would have been "Rodgers being Rodgers" but it is what it is. Agreed on Fields and I wholeheartedly mean it when I say I would like to see the Bears find a competent QB. I will take Love's stat line all season long, but know challenging games lie ahead. The health of Aaron Jones will be crucial to the success of that offense, definitely think he is the most talented player on that side of the ball.

Totally agree, and I am not anointing him as the chosen one FWIW, and also believe they are still a 6-9 win team, with 9 being the ceiling. They are fortunate that at least so far, the start of their schedule is favorable to picking up wins. 

That said...it was awesome to see him protect the ball, get rid of it on time, and not sit there and hold.....and hold....and hold....until he got sacked lol.

... You really should see some of the QB talent in college up close and personal. An NFL QB should be able to make every throw. Not off balance, on the run, crazy arm and body anger throws but a routine throw shouldn't elicit any praise. Unless they do hit over and over again with the game on the line like Rodgers. But I can assure you Bagent the 3rd team ex DII QB for the Bears can make that throw in his sleep. 

... What should get your attention is hitting 2nd and 3rd options, not check downs. Hell at 70 I can still complete a check down, but an accurate pre snap read and quickly going through your options and completing passes to someone other than your primary receiver will garner an above average rating. When I watch QB's I can see which ones heart rate dramatically increases when their primary receiver isn't open, compared to those with an even heart beat just going through their progressions. As an unbiased observer (of talent not win/loss) Love didn't look good and he didn't look bad or more precisely he looked both so again, average. That said, it was the first game and Love didn't display anything that would suggest he won't be successful. As always, time will tell and we can revisit this after the first half of the season.

... I am not sure I have ever seen worse OLine play in an NFL game. And I'm a Bears fan! Yea, at least some credit goes to the 'Boys but not moving your feet, missing assignments and a general lack of effort from the Giants Oline sure made it easy for 'em. Reminded me of this game so maybe I got some Giants payback LOL:

Aside from the first drive, Daniel Jones was being chased around every other play, I like the pressure that Dan Quinn was putting on him, and I hope the D-Line can keep going the rest of the season.

... I watched every play and that Oline was abysmal. So difficult to give the Cowboys a ton of credit but if and it's a big IF, that was just a preview of what's to come it will be a ton of fun watching the Dallas D all season. Ironically my son was a 1st team all conference DE in college and even though I played QB in college, but studying his film with him and watching defenses gave me a great appreciation for defensive excellence, so I still watch teams by their QB's but my 2nd favorite thing about football is a great defense.

There was not a lot credit to take, the Defense played their fundamentals, and the Giants O line just forgot they were playing 11 vs 11, it look more like they were playing flag football. If anything, it gives the Cowboys some confidence going forward, also I liked that with the Giants being so out of it, it gave a lot back ups a chance to come in and take some snaps.
