bozo
ED13 above is correct it is more your arm length from the floor than overall height. I'm 5'8" but have shorter arms vs some of my playing partners and my arm length from the floor is the same as some of my taller playing partners. I'm older now and don't like to bend over as much as I used too so I use a 34 inch putter just switching from a 33 1/2. RonBGolfin

piemasternick
I’m 5’10” and i use a 34” for no reason other than that is what my fitter ordered me. it works wonderfully for me, i had a 35” and would “chunk” a putt at least once a round, and now everything rolls pure every time and i never top it. i have a ping 2021 kushin 4 and it is by far the softest putter i’ve ever felt. Delhump22
5'10" - I play a 35" putter, as I like to stand more upright above the ball. I love my Odyssey Stroke Lab V-Line putter, got it in May of this year. I struggled consistently with 3 putting on a lot of holes. Easily dropped 10 strokes off my usual game by adding this thing to the bag. The counterweighting definitely makes a difference for me, allowing me to stroke more consistently. ChuckZ
At 6'2" have tried 34 and 36 and settled on 35". Sets up better for me. Would think it has more to do with length of arms and distance to ground from hands, than just height, and which allows you to make an easy flowing consistent putt. tarrantian
Like anything related to Golf, so many variables in addition to height... I'm 5'10" but have fairly short arms (31-32ish") - This makes the average/standard 34" a bit short for me. I go 34.5" and this seems to be my sweep spot. I'm sure lie angle, shaft lean and other factors tied to proper fittings likely play into it as well beyond stature. GPS111
5'11' - 34". Tried lengths from 33"-35" but always circle back to 34". Rule of thumb has to be considered as a starting point but I've always believed your length is going to be determined by how much you bend at the waist letting your arms hang naturally. Just put a grip on where they end up. For me I've always bent the same to get eyes over the ball. 34" is where it always ends up, regardless of type putter.
