Golfspy_CG2 26,469
COBRA® GOLF UNVEILS THE COPPER SERIES PLAYERS IRONS TO SATISFY THE MOST DEMANDING SHOTMAKERS KING RF Forged MB, KING Tour, and KING Forged TEC Irons Will be Available In a Striking Copper Finish Carlsbad, Calif. (March 3, 2021) – COBRA® Golf, a leader in golf club innovation, today unveiled its KING Copper Iron Series, introducing a stunning new copper finish, inspired by Rickie Fowler, in its popular player’s irons. The family debuts a new addition to its player’s iron lineup with the KING RF Forged MB, and a new copper finish in the KING Tour, and the KING Forged TEC irons. The new copper versions offer the same performance technologies as the chrome models in a premium copper finish that is sure to turn heads on the course. The KING RF FORGED MB COPPER IRONS ($1,399) are an evolution of the limited-edition RF Proto Irons introduced earlier this year. The irons continue to feature a special “RF,” logo on the toe to indicate Rickie’s involvement in the shaping, design and choice of finish. Each clubhead in the set is forged five times out of 1025 carbon steel to deliver the softest feel desired by the best players. Each face and groove is CNC milled to maximize trajectory and spin control. Like Rickie’s gamers, the irons are fitted with a tungsten toe weight to optimally position the CG behind the sweet spot for the purest feel with enhanced stability. The rich copper finish paired with Rickie’s signature shape delivers an impressive package designed for highly skilled players. The KING RF Forged MB irons are available in 4-PW in copper, RH only, with KBS C-Taper 120 steel shafts, and Lamkin Crossline Connect grips. For shot makers who want the ultimate in feel, precision and forgiveness in a player’s cavity back shape, the KING TOUR COPPER IRONS ($1,399) are the ticket. Manufactured using Metal Injection Molding (MIM) for precise shaping and exceptionally soft feel, each clubhead is also fitted with a Tungsten toe weight to center the CG behind the hitting zone for pure shots with added stability on off-center hits. The soft MIM material, combined with a TPU insert (thermoplastic polyurethane) positioned behind the clubface, damps vibrations for a soft yet solid feel at impact that rivals traditional forged irons, even though they are actually MIM’d. The rich new copper finish sets these sticks apart from a visual standpoint. The KING TOUR Copper Irons are available in 4-PW in RH & LH (3-iron and GW available through custom) with KBS $-Taper 120 steel shafts and Lamkin Crossline Connect grips. For those who prefer the classic chrome finish, the irons are still available in both RH and now LH as well. Better players who put a premium on distance while still desiring the precision and feel of a compact iron shape, should look at the new KING FORGED TEC COPPER IRONS ($1,199). The design combines a fully hollow construction into a shape that resembles a classic muscleback that appeals to better players. The hollow core is infused with foam microspheres to yield a soft feel and fine-tuned acoustics throughout the set. To add to the distance-enhancing technologies, a forged PWRSHELL face insert maximizes launch and speed across the face and on the sole. An internal tungsten toe weight improves stability on off-center toe hits and centers the CG resulting in precision with forgiveness. The KING Forged TEC Copper Irons are available in variable length only, 4-PW (3-iron and GW available through custom order) in RH and LH with the stock shaft offering as the KBS $-Taper Lite steel. For a graphite offering, the Project X Catalyst 80 (X, S), and 60 (R) is the recommended option available in custom. Lamkin Crossline Connect grips come standard. The chrome versions of the Forged TEC irons are still available in both Variable and ONE Length in RH and LH. All three sets of irons come equipped COBRA CONNECT Smart Grips giving players access to in-depth shot-tracking data. Download the Arccos Caddie app on your smart device to pair your clubs and unlock your 90-day free trial to Arccos Caddie. All three sets of copper irons will be available at cobragolf.com and at retail on March 12, 2021. 2 Quote TSi2 Kuro Kage 50g R Flex TSi2 16.5 FW with GD AD IZ 6 Shaft G410 FW 7 Alta CB R flex G410 Hybrid 26 degree Alta CB R Flex T100S/T200 Combo 5-7 T100S 8-P T200 TT Black Oynx R Flex SM7 54.08 F 58.12 K Heppler Tomcast ProV1X Play number

russtopherb 6,241
I can't say I'm that big of a fan. HOWEVER it may be due to my brain being so used to chrome/silver/gray when it comes to an iron and I'm just not used to it. I don’t like the look and the sound of the on in the players distance category; don’t know the model, just didn’t sound right to me. I like a muted sound on the irons and this had a click sound. 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* set to 16.5* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 816H1 19* set at 18* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 588 54-14, 58-12 Putter: TM-180 Backups: 6330, ER2.2, Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
