Hybrid Advice

Well, i had nearly the perfect club but it got bought out from under me.

Backstory, just back into the game a couple months ago after a long time away and have converted all my fairway wood duties over to hybrids. Currently i have 818 H1 19* set to normal A1, stiff HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.0. 816 H1 25* set to D1, R-Flex Diamana stock shaft and 816 H1 27* A1 stock r-flex Diamana.

So my goal is to get stiff shafts for the other two, also even the gaps out to 18*-22*-26* and add a bit of distance at the top end. Hitting the 19* around 230-240 atm and if i can get that to more like 235-245, I'd be happy.

I'm keeping the 19* and tuning it down to 18* and keeping the 27* and tuning it to 26* and replacing the shaft. While I'm already replacing the 25* I'm going to go ahead and upgrade to an 818 i think.

I had a 23* 818 with a nice shaft already waiting in my cart for my check to clear the bank at midnight, and of course i get the email, "this item is no longer available"

So here's my question... I'm looking at other options and thought does it really matter which one i get? Is there going to be a difference tuning a 21* up to 22* and tuning a 23* down to 22*?

The biggest issue will be how it impacts the face angle.  I get this screwed up a lot but pretty sure it is Lofting up closes the face and lofting down opens the face.

The difference will be in the shaft length. The shaft will be a little longer in the the 21 vs the 23.

I thought about that but some of the ones I'm looking at are already cut down half to a full inch.

Well, it worked out in the end. Another 23* H1 with the same shaft popped up this morning. This one has a bit more wear and has a multicompound instead of my preferred Tour Velvet. Also, the shaft is .5in shorter but that's fine  cause i can put that shaft on my 27* and then buy a correct length shaft for the 23*.

Here's the specs...

Titleist 818 H1 #4 Hybrid 23° MRC Tensei CK Pro White 90 Graphite Stiff Right Handed 39.0in

Those shafts used are going for about the same as what i paid for the whole club. With free shipping and needing buying a new grip, i think i would up paying about $15 more than if i had gotten to buy the other 23*
