SteveGH7
Jason Day, Hovland, Westwood, Hatton and Cam Smith are some of my favorites. I should probably throw an American in there too so I'll add Fred Couples and Steve Stricker! On the LPGA side it would be Danielle Kang or Minjee Lee. ClockworkJake
The ONLY correct answer is Freddy Couples, unlwess you're allowing for "multi-era" selections, then it's Eugenio Saracini, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Freddy "BoomBoom" Coppola", and after freddy.... - I have a huge amount of respect for Rory, as well. Julius
i like quite a few of the players, probably my top 3 would be Rickie Fowler, Rory and Scottie Scheffler. I have recently spent more time following Sheffler and I like him quite a bit, well grounded young man who just gets it done. vamosjackets
For me it's Scottie Scheffler by a mile. Love how he plays and, more, who he is. My two girls (9, 7) even pull for him and ask about him. Stewart Cink is #2 for me - I'm a GT guy and I also like his character. After that, a few that are particularly interesting to me are: Bryson, Finau, Zalatoris, Cam Smith, Cam Young. Matt Kuchar again since I'm a GT guy. From previous eras, I loved David Duval and also pulled for Fred Couples and Jim Furyk ... I might even throw Phil in the previous era category of my fandom. Stuka44
I will break it down a couple different ways. For young guys, #1 is DeChambeau. Ever since he jacked that ball across the water at the Bay Hill I just love watching him. For older guy around my age who I like watching on the Senior Tour, its Miguel Angel Jimenez. One guy who I really liked watching who I think played well in some events, but then partied too hard, and has pretty much disappeared was Kiradech Aphibarnrat. Butta.Cutz
Tony Finau is one of my favorite golfers in the game right now. He’s a classy guy with an underdog story that I always find myself rooting for. The more Ricky Fowler has struggled over the past few years, and watching him push through the worst of his game to starting to find his groove again, the more I like him too. Still a humble guy, but you can tell how hard he’s had to work. Both guys are inspiring Stuka44 and Dr Strangelove 2 Quote Titleist 913 D3 Driver, 917 3 wood and hybrid. ChiefMikeOfficer
Current: Tyrrell Hatton - can't get over the commentary. Joel Dahmen is a close second for the same reason -- if I were to follow someone on the course at a tournament, I'd pick either of these two over any of the bigger stars. Up & Comer: Brandon Matthews - this full video is great, but the 3:55 and 4:48 marks show what makes him fun to track (one is his interview, the other his competitor's): Former notables: (1) Steve Marino - big Monday qualifier guy, once shot 59 on a mini tour, and was a great guy when I met him. Fun to watch / pull for. (2) Camilo Villegas. Downside is he's a Gator, but I liked him before I went to FSU... he's actually the reason I discovered/met Marino -- won the opportunity to caddy for him (which was huge as my favorite golfer at the time) on Wednesday of the '07 Pebble Pro-Am, and Marino was paired up with us. tdroma98 1 Quote Driver: Stealth Plus 8* (adjusted to 8.75*), Mitsubishi Diamana ZF 70 X Flex (New toy incoming!)
