its working for ya! Hell of a round, How do you get the screenshot to change like that btw?

@B.Bostonpenetrating flight man! Loving the 8* from the range and quick 9 hole its been used. 270+ on 3 holes to start the season....I will take that all day and twice on sunday!

he made a gif file of the pictures and it plays them like a slide show.  A neat trick he showed us back in #CC4!

This (expensive) experiment has worked out well. I'm head-over-heels smitten with the AutoFlex.

I've played three rounds of golf in the past week and have never driven the ball better. Arccos had been sucking for me early this season, but I made some tweaks in the Android power settings before my round yesterday and am glad I did. I think I had the best driving day I've ever had at my home course, and Arccos worked flawlessly in capturing the performance.

Seven of my nine drives went 270-plus yards, including three over 285 yards. I had a little wind help and even got one out to 299 on No. 17. On a 48 degree, rainy morning, I could not believe my results.

We've had a dry spring and I'm getting a little more roll than I'm used to at my course, but I'm definitely carrying the ball farther than I ever have and I still don't feel like I'm swinging as fast as I could. I'm hitting small draws and getting very nice height with the Mavrik set at 8 degrees. I am still playing with the stock Mavrik weight, at 46" to the end of the grip and swingweight of D2.5.

I know I've improved my swing a lot over the winter, but my Arccos Smart Distance at the end of last season with driver was 262 yards. Only one of my drives went less than that today, and it was a toed duck hook that I thankfully managed to keep in bounds.

My driving highlights from today's round:

    • No. 5 - I've only started hitting driver on this hole recently. It is a short par 4 with a narrow 30-yard fairway. A nice tight draw in the middle of the fairway led to have the shortest shot I've ever had into the green.
    • No. 7 - This hole is the hardest on the course. In three years of playing here I've birdied it once. Another tight draw up the hill left me a pitching wedge (!!!) into the green. I've never hit anything less than 8-iron for a second shot on this hole before.
    • No. 13 - Another tight hole but this one actually is flat and I got more roll from a perfect tee shot. I hit my drive so far I almost ended up in the drainage ditch in front of the green.
    • No. 16 - This was a so-so strike high on the face, but the ball was perfectly straight and rolled out to 277.
    • No. 17 - I had a slight helping breeze and the fairway runs a little downhill. I hit a small push that ended up on the right side in the rough near the trees. So close to 300!
    • No. 18 - Coming back uphill and into the wind, this was a low straight ball that worked perfectly for the conditions.

    No. 5:

Some Arccos highlights (if I could only chip and putt!):

I think we'll have to allow the unfortunate three putts as being caused from being amped up from those drives!  We've all seen your putting getting better, add this to the mix and I think we're going to see some more PB's posted on the how'd you play thread.

I tried @Lacassem's driver set to 8* of loft... I have NO idea how you guys get those things in the air. 😆

My user name is condog combining my last name and dog. I’m from Douglas mass and play now out of Blissful Meadows. I’ was also a member at Whitinsville Golf club for many years leaving when my daughters played competitive basketball. I love to learn more every time I read others that are so knowledgeable and love and respect the game. I attended Providence College and continued in the education field for 38 years. Central mass has in the past years built many more public courses that are good tracts such as Blackstone National, Highfields, Blissfull, Shining Rock, Cyprus keys and a new redone Stow Acres. I worked for 5 years at Blackstone National and doing that you are around the game everyday from April til Thanksgiving. Now I want to play more in this area and Rhode Iskand and CT. Which has many great courses. I just wanted to introduce myself to other New Englanders who are passionate members like myself .

Welcome! I’ll be playing at blissful on Sunday! First round of the year. 🥳

@Lacassem, this is a video I like to watch a lot and have in mind.   He doesn't use the word shallow per se, but if you watch he's basically talking about his lower body clearing and his arms/hands dropping and then releasing the club, whereas when I hit those pulls I'm talking about I'm just releasing way too early I think.

Fred Couples' Keys To an Effortless Golf Swing | Golf Tips | Golf Digest - YouTube

Always good for my game and tempo to draw some inspiration from watching Freddy swing.

How he could swing so effortlessly and still develop back problems is beyond my understanding...

It is amazing that he can make it look so easy and still pumped them out there around 300 yards.  It may look effortless, but there's still a lot of torque going on there!

Also an update:  I warm up with the planemate in the morning while my reports are running for the day, Just did a few free swings and I still feel like the planemate is pulling me into positions... so cool and strange at the same time.

  5. Eight years ago today my wife and I tied the knot! 🍻 It was a beautiful late April day in MA.  With clear skies and upper 60 temps.  Fast forward a bit and we now have three spunky children, two lazy dogs, and plenty other things to be thankful and grateful for.

If I could go back and do it again I wouldn't change a thing.  Here's to eight more (years, NOT kids)! 😂

I appreciate it! I definitely ain't going to complain because it cost me distance hitting in to it. I wish I had gotten Arccos to work earlier (thank you again @B.Boston for your help) I had a 3 wood go over a green at 215 yards and wish it would have been recorded.

Any time man! Those are some sweet shots! Like you said hills and valleys with the training, but my on course speeds seemed to stay pretty consistent after the first few weeks.

48/46 94 today. i had a better ball striking day overall but still not great.

a birdie on 18 sure makes up for a lot of forgettable shots though.

452yd par 4. hit my best drive of the day and had an even 100 left to the flag. pulled a 52* and stuck it to 4ft.

Came to your post expecting 💣💣💣

350ish.... did not leave disappointed! haha

Sounds like you're getting in the swing of things, I still need to get out for my first real round of the year.

No new app is in development right now and the current version is no longer supported, sadly... I'll revisit it later this year, though, and see what can be done, if anything...

That's OK... I just went ahead and replaced the tapatalk app's spot on my iphone homescreen with a direct link to the forum webpage.  I'll just have to go through and check what I get e-mail notifications for and maybe expand that.

I noticed the tapatalk links appear to be broken, so I'm guessing that access was revoked along with the old MGS app?  Or is that a different issue?

Bought our house 6 years ago now and the kitchen has always been an eye sore. We intend on doing an addition and completely remodeling the kitchen but I couldn’t handle the sink anymore. Old white sink that is porous so it’s was just so stained over the years. Complete swap today very happy to go to a single bay and it can stay when the kitchen gets revamped

Ohh that’s so much better. I always hated the divided sinks.

    🚨 PERSONAL BEST ALERT! 🚨

    - 36/39 = 75 (+3) 😍
    - 6/15 FIR
    - 11/18 GIR (2 birdies)
    - 30 Putts (12 2-putts, 6 1-putts)

Cold, dreary morning and the course was pretty empty. I really took my time deciding on shots and it paid off!

I actually didn't hit very many good shots from the tee today (bad case of the hooks with driver and Super Hybrid), but I hit my irons very well, chipped OK and putted excellently. And, down the stretch, my driver perked up for me.

Played the front nine at even par for the first time ever, highlighted by a 25-foot birdie putt on No. 5. I was +2 coming to No. 16 (probably the second hardest hole on the course) and blasted a beautiful drive that led to a par. I very nearly hooked my tee shot on No. 17 out of bounds left, making a mess of the hole with a double bogey to get to +4 heading to No. 18 tee. (My previous best was +4 during Cobra Connect last summer.)

Most of the pressure was off after the double bogey. I uncorked the longest drive I've ever hit on No. 18, 280 yards uphill, leaving 95 to the flag. Lined up a 58 wedge, landed a few yards short of the flag and ended up with my best approach all day. Knocked in the birdie putt for a new personal best.

Feels amazing to put a great round together this early in the season. Lots of offseason work paying off!

Fantastic round Cody! I love seeing no three putts on the card for you! That’s L.A.B. Is showing it’s worth for you.

I’m guessing that work you’ve been doing with your belt buckle feel paid off during the round?

Real nice to end it with the birdie for the PB too!

Here is the latest update.   Colors from Torching came out great.  We aren't doing any paintfill except for the sightline;  trying to figure out what color that will be.   I don't like white;  any suggestions?

Guess I just needed to keep scrolling! Really like that.

what about a color that matches the gold/bronze tone on some parts of the head there?

Ah, I see - yea, so since the test section isn't technically a "forum," the IPS software doesn't allow a follow button for the entire section - just individual tests. However, knowing that, I make it a priority to create a site-wide announcement to alert everyone of the opportunity as well as sending out dedicated emails to our entire membership with a reminder a day before the test closes.

Any bets on how many signups we get for CC5? 3K for the Sub70 test blew me away...I thought it would be closer to 1-1.5k at the most.

    oh man..... #CC5K sounds good!

Does the Follow button exist for you guys?
    image.png

It does for the individual test opportunities.  But you used to be able to follow the whole Application thread and get notified when a new one was posted.

If the plan is to use a banner for each one opening up like the Cobra Connect 5 one today I don't think its a big issue though.

Doesn’t move the needle for me. Ford missed the market on this ome IMO

While I like some of the styling elements, I'm not sure the whole package is there.  If I were in the market for a real rugged 4x4 SUV my search would likely start with a 4runner.  From there I'm not sure.  But I'm going to be living the minivan life for a while anyway.

Then I'm also partial to sedans over mid-size SUVs.  The accord I used to have had a lot more space than a CRV and the trunk allowed my clubs to be carried quietly.  I hate when you get these supposedly "big" SUVs that are too narrow to hold a set of clubs across the back.

Saw a new Bronco in the wild yesterday. Did they run it through a washing machine on the hot cycle? They did a Trailblazer and shrunk it. Less cargo room than the new TB and $14K more.

Yeah the sport models look particularly small to me.

the last one looks more Range Rover sport sized to me. But that’s purely from the pictures. No idea on the actual dimensions.
