cnosil
I'll do that partner and hopefully they will have all the latest and greatest stuff available. I think the only thing missing when I went was the M3 and M4. A fitter was talking to someone and said they should be there end of Jan. So they may be in stock. yungkory
I wasn't impressed the first time I hit the G400 range at my local shop, but it was a completely different story on the range at today's demo. I didn't find much difference from the LST to the Max, only that the Max didn't go as far left on my misses. The launch is much more appealing to my eye over my Epic, that's for sure. Not sure if it's just the head, or a combination with a shaft a lit tle softer in the tip (Kuro Kage TiNi Silver Stiff). Only knock I have on it is how loud it is holy moly. juspoole
I hit the G400 LST at a demo day along with every other new driver and this was by far the most forgiving for me. Idk if I was simply in the best shaft combo as well using their tour 75 x flex but shots that felt like they would be duck hooks were just slight pulls and would have been playable. Same for the other side. Ones I felt I blocked and would be a large fade were just a push fade that I could get away with. Distance wasn't astounding and spin numbers were pretty good but what I got from a forgiveness standpoint has me just about ready to trade my 2016 M2, which I only recently got as well. I was thinking something that would create more spin to elevate the ball would be the ticket. The difference between the LST and the MAX in the charts (for spin) was like 200 RPM. That's next to nothing. In my own testing, I really had a hard time finding a difference in ball flight and carry at the range between the LST and MAX. The only difference other than the acoustics, was the MAX seemed to be a little straighter. If you watch the TxG video where they fit Matt in the most accurate vs. longest driver, you'll see that there were only a few yards difference in carry and total distance when he was hitting the Rogue SZ and the G400 MAX, and the spin numbers were only a few hundred RPM's different on average. dhartmann34
I know the focus is on the G400 driver here...but I picked up the G400 3 wood and thought I'd leave a review on the short time I've gotten to spend on it when the temps were decent and there was no snow on the ground...which is NOT the case at the moment unfortunately. It's definitely louder than the G400 driver I've got. But I love the compact head. I like how it sets up to the ball. I hit it probably 10-15 times on the course over the span of 4 days. A lot of those were areas I'd normally hit driver, but I wanted to give this some work. I was not disappointed! It's been really good. With the shaft I put it in it, it's longer than what I was originally hitting it during my fitting. The ball flight is great. The misses aren't too shabby at all. The compact head, or at least it seems so, is really good through the brown, dead rough we've got here at the moment. Glides right on through. I will be curious to hit it out of the rough and deep rough once we get some growing....in say June? :-( So far I'm really glad to have it in my bag. If I were to change anything with it, I'd like it to be a little 'softer' in terms of how it feels/sounds at impact....more like the standard G400 driver. I'm curious to see what your results are with it compared to the G400. I know you have a bit more giddy up in your swing than I do, but they're not too far off. I have hit it since I asked that. I don't think it would have been the ticket for either of us. Even though we have swing speeds in it's Target demographic, we both have aggressive transitions that at least for me didn't pair well with it.
