tony@CIC
I'm pretty low carb now, it's the days off not doing too much...time to pull out the total gym. Matt, I had a Total Gym that sat in a closet for about 10 years until last spring i happened to purchase a exercise dvd for Total Gym. I now use it every day - it augments the sit-ups, push-ups, squats and rotational exercises. It's a great machine for me. ole gray
I'm down 5lbs as of today and have 15 more to go. Masters week is still a good ways off so we can do this. Keep focused on good health and not just dropping the weight and we can keep this pretty figure up... I'm shooting for solid 200 lbs with a 36 inch waist. I've been stuck in the 220ish range and 38 waist for waaaay too long. I've started logging all my food with MyFitnessPal and have a fitbit urging me on to 10k steps per day, but have yet to start any serious exercise routines. Watching what you eat and walking will definitely help. What will accelerate the loss is exercise. It's a simple formula: calories in less calories expended. Once you start working out and see calories burned it'll help your eating style or choices. As an example I love donuts - but one donut is equivalent to 40 min on the Eliptical. So I'm motivated not to have the donut because it means extra time on the Eliptical. Bags
Further to OG and GS Barba's posts regarding weight loss and helping each other out, I'm starting this thread in the hopes that those of us that need or could stand to lose a bit of weight will chime in. I really want to get down to 180lbs. I've been struggling with my weight for years and my lowest (about 6 months ago) was 199.2lbs. I've crept back up to 207lbs and am not really happy about it....but that's the holiday season. So, I'm thinking that those of you who want to participate can just post here, maybe what you're doing, eating etc or just a weekly/fortnightly weigh in. So that's it in a nutshell, chime in or I'll talk to myself. I need to loose 10 grrr easy to put on not so easy coming off Bags Rickp and MattF

Kor.A.Door
Don't worry about what the scale says, especially if you are working out, really pay close attention to your “dietâ€, ie. What you are eating, how much you are eating, and the types of food you are eating. Let your clothing tell you how the weight loss is coming. Does that shirt that was somewhat tight, fit a little better now, do your seem to be a bit looser where they used to be tight. Those are the signs that your body is changing. Muscle has more weight than fat in your body, so if you are losing fat and gaining muscle, the scale will not show it. Keep strong friends, we can do this. I bet in April most of us will be saying, down 30 pounds and a down a couple pant sizes too. I feel good. That's the goal. Remember the goal. Enjoy the journey, the weight didn't get there in 3 weeks. It's not coming in 3 weeks either. Continue the fight.
